Where to Find Ammo and Convoys in Dying Light The Beast

In Dying Light: The Beast, guns have returned, offering a safer way to deal with the infected from a distance. However, unlike melee weapons, ammunition is a scarce resource that can't be found just anywhere. The main way to get ammo is by visiting military convoys scattered across the map.

Where to Find Military Convoys and Ammo

Military convoys are abandoned groups of trucks, often with a few infected soldiers wandering nearby. They are your primary source for ammunition and other rare items, including medical supplies and high-tier weapons.

• Discovering Convoys: Most convoys are initially hidden from your map. You'll need to explore the wilderness of Castor Woods to find them. They are often located on major roads, bridges, and overpasses. Once you get close enough, a truck icon will appear on your map, marking its location. The Mountain Path Convoy, located east of Old Town, is one of the first ones you're likely to stumble upon.
• Convoy Access Cards: To open the locked trucks and access the loot inside, you'll need a Convoy Access Card. These cards are carried by the infected soldiers guarding the convoy. You must kill and loot them to get the card. Be aware that these zombies, like all infected, will despawn if you don't loot them quickly.
• Looting the Trucks: Once you have a card, approach the back of a truck and use it to unlock the door. The unlocking animation takes a few seconds, so make sure the area is clear of other infected. Each truck usually contains three items, which can include bullets, healing items like Morphine, or even a weapon.
• Check the Sides: Some convoys have additional locked storage compartments on the sides of the trucks. These can be lockpicked to find extra ammo, so be sure to have a few lockpicks on hand.

Other Ways to Get Ammo

While convoys are the most reliable method, there are other ways to get ammo:

• Vendors: As you progress through the game and level up, vendors in majorsettlements will begin to sell ammunition. However, bullets areexpensive, so this method is best used as a last resort, especially inthe early game.
• Human Enemies: After completing the"Power Gambit" main story mission, human enemies will start to appearmore frequently. Some of these enemies will be wielding guns, and upondefeating them, you can loot their bodies to get both their weapon andsome of its corresponding ammo.

Military convoys refreshregularly, so it's a good idea to revisit them after completing a fewmissions to see if they've restocked their loot.
