How to Solve Treasure Map D2 in Dying Light The Beast

Scavenger hunts are a thrilling part of the adventure in Dying Light: The Beast, offering valuable loot for keen-eyed survivors. Treasure Map D2 is one of the most rewarding, leading to a cache containing a powerful weapon and a crucial survival tool. This step-by-step guide will walk you through finding the map, deciphering its clues, and successfully retrieving the hidden treasure.

Step 1: Locating the Treasure Map D2

Your journey begins at the Recreation Island Tower, situated north of the Old Town district. This skeletal structure is your primary objective.

Approach the tower and locate a wooden ladder high up on its central frame. Climb it to reach the first accessible platform.

From here, you'll see a rope dangling precariously. Use it to swing across to a nearby platform stacked with wooden crates.

Follow this path upward, using a second rope to ascend to the tower's summit.

At the top, you'll find a safe room. The coveted Treasure Map D2 is waiting for you on the windowsill inside.

The map itself features a rudimentary sketch of a house. The most important landmarks are a wind vane topped with a rooster and a specific doorway highlighted in red.

Step 2: Solving the Puzzle and Finding the Treasure

The location depicted on the map is conveniently close to the tower, on the northeastern edge of Old Town. Look for the distinctive rooster wind vane; the house you need is directly across from it.

• Gaining Entry: The red-marked doorway on the map is barricaded. Instead, circle to the opposite side of the building to find an open window at ground level. Sneak inside quietly, as the lower floor is occupied by dormant Biters.
• Navigating to the Attic: Immediately upon entering, turn left and crawl into a ventilation shaft. Inside, look up to see a series of wooden beams. This is your path tothe attic. Climb the beams carefully; the final gap may require awell-timed wall climb to reach the highest beam.
• Claiming Your Reward: In the attic, you'll see a locked white cupboard. To find the key, look to the right side of the attic for a target practice cardboard cutout lying on the floor. Destroy it with a melee weapon to reveal the hidden key underneath.

Unlocking the cupboard unveils a fantastic haul that will significantly aid your survival:

• Mercenary SMG: A high-rate-of-fire firearm perfect for dealing with human enemies.
