How To Fast Travel in Dune Awakening

Exploring the expansive and relentless desert of Dune: Awakening is an adventure in itself. While you'll eventually be able to craft vehicles to traverse the colossal dunes, fast travel becomes an absolute lifesaver – especially with the constant threat of sandworms and fierce sandstorms lurking around every corner. Here's a quick guide to help you understand how fast travel works in the game.

Fast Travel Isn’t Instant or Free

Unlike many other online games where you just click a point on the map and instantly teleport, fast travel in Dune: Awakening operates a bit differently. You won't be able to just zip around whenever you want.To use it, you'll need to find and interact with specific characters called Ornithopter Pilots. You can't activate fast travel from just anywhere on the map, and there's always a fee in Solari, the game's currency, for each trip.

Where It Starts: Griffin’s Reach

Your fast travel journey begins in Hagga Basin South. As you progress through the main quests early in the game, you'll be guided to a central hub known as Griffin’s Reach Tradingpost. The very first time you arrive there, you'll automatically receive a quest titled "A Wider World."

To unlock fast travel options, look for the pilot NPC near the back of the trading post. They're usually standing close to aholographic projection of an Ornithopter. Talking to them for the firsttime will open up your fast travel menu.

Initial Travel Options and Costs

Once the fast travel system is unlocked, you'll be presented with a few starting destination choices:

• Arrakeen
• Hagga Basin
• Harko Village

Traveling to larger city hubs like Arrakeen or Harko Village typically costs around 2,500 Solari. If you're heading to smaller outposts or specific regions, the pricewill generally be lower. For quick hops between different tradeposts,expect to pay around 700 Solari per trip.

Each Region Has Its Own Pilot

You don't always have to go back to Griffin's Reach to fast travel. Conveniently, every major region's trading post should have its own Ornithopter Pilot. This means you can initiate local fast travel without having to constantly backtrack.

Unlocking More Fast Travel Points

Sometimes, you might notice that not all locations are listed when you try to fast travel, especially within areas like Hagga Basin. This is because fast travel points in certain areas are unlocked by visiting them on foot first. After you manually discover a new location by walking or driving there, it will then appear as an option in the fast travel menu the next timeyou speak to a pilot.

So, if you'rewondering why a particular spot isn't showing up, chances are you justhaven't explored that specific location yet.

• Always carry enough Solari: Fast travel isn't free, so make sure you have enough currency for your trips.
