Head into the Enchanted Forest
Cloisterwood is the dense forest that lies to the northwest corner of Repear's Coast. It is a short hike north of Driftwood. Once you're deep into the forest, all pickups can be accessed by holding down the left ALT key.
In due time, you should be able to spot a few plants, including Blackroots, around the bases of several trees. The ritual requires only one Blackroot, but it's always good to collect a few spare ones just in case. Things to do in Cloisterwood A very powerful witch who gives you a tough fight, an undead trader, two potential NPCs that can give you a Source point each, and many other secrets lie hidden in the dense woodland of Cloisterwood.
You can gain Source points with two NPCs, Hannag and Jahan; Jahan is also one of the chain quests in Lohse's storyline. There is also a hidden undead trader, Eithne, in the ruins. To gain a side quest from her, talk to her and select the "Divine Order" option.
A Dead Ferryman NPC can be found on a dock way to the north of Cloisterwood; he'll offer to ferry you across to Bloodmoon Island. Just but a few of the famous NPCs one could meet in Cloisterwood, as this list is in no way exhaustive. Other secret treasures are yet to be explored deep within the woods: the Wrecker's Cave and, through communication with a ship captain's afterlife, acquiring a unique loremaster amulet.
