Before you get started, make sure you’ve read any relevant background information about the game and are familiar with the various characters and items you’ll encounter.
Step 1: Stand in Front of the Door to Maria’s Room
The first step to opening Maria’s room is to stand in front of the door. When you do, you’ll see a strange symbol on the door – this is the Ectoplasm Glass symbol. You’ll also hear a bell chime, signaling that you’ve found the right door.
When you get inside, you’ll find yourself in a dimly lit hallway. You’ll need to traverse the hallway until you reach the bedroom. Once you’re there, head to the closet.
Step 2: Go to the Bedroom and Head to the Closet
Inside the closet, you’ll find a large purse. It’s filled with items that give you clues about Maria’s disappearance. Make sure you examine the contents of the purse thoroughly – you’ll need the information to move forward.
Step 3: Use the Ectoplasm Glass
The Ectoplasm Glass is a special item you’ll find in the purse. It’s used to reveal the time of death for one of Maria’s relatives. To use it, you’ll need to find a wall with a symbol of a skull and crossbones. When you do, look through the Ectoplasm Glass and you’ll see a number. This is the time of death.
Once you’ve found the time of death, you’ll need to change the hands on three clocks in the room. You’ll be able to tell which ones to change by looking at the Ectoplasm Glass again. When all three clocks are set to the time of death, you can proceed to the next step.
Step 4: Go Up to the Very Top Floor
When you reach the very top floor, you’ll find a bookcase with the name “LIMBO” written on it. You must speak out loud the words “I open the door” three times in order to open the bookcase and find the key to Maria’s room.
Step 5: Go to the Bathroom
Once you find the key, you’ll need to go to the bathroom. Inside, you’ll find a mirror. Speak the words “I open the door” three times into the mirror to unlock the door to Maria’s room.
