How to defeat Glissando in Clair Obscur Expedition 33

Alright! It seems you've reached Sirene and are facing the elegant yet dangerous Glissando, the eighth mandatory boss blocking your path to the second Axon in Expedition 33. Don't worry, here's a guide on where to find them, exploit their weaknesses, and claim your well-deserved rewards.

Clair Obscur Expedition 33: defeat Glissando

Where is Glissando?

Glissando will be waiting for you near the end of the Sirene region. Specifically, you'll find them right after reaching the Crumbling Path flag. This encounter is mandatory to progress in the game, as Glissando blocks the only passage leading to the end of the region and its main boss, Sirene.

Glissando's Attacks:

Glissando has a series of rhythmic and dangerous attacks:

• Summoning Ballets: Glissando summons dancers who attack the entire team three times. You'll need to jump three times when the full jump symbol appears.
• Head Strike: Glissando rises above the expedition and strikes the entire team twice with its head. You'll need to sense the right moment to parry or dodge when you hear a characteristic sound.
• Enchantment: Glissando casts a spell that will enchant one member of the team. The spell has a significant delay and consists of three rhythmic bursts. Only the third explosion will hit you, so listen for the first two and parry the third one accordingly. If you allow yourself to be enchanted, a weak point will appear on the boss's tail. Shoot this point to remove the spell from the affected team member.
• Tail Strike: Glissando performs a combo of three tail strikes. Pay attention to theboss – before the first two strikes, you'll hear the sound of air beingcut, and a sharp, metallic noise before the third one.
• Devouring: Glissando devours a team member, removing them from the battlefield. This attack cannot be dodged. To retrieve the devoured team member, you must defeat and stun the boss.

How to Defeat Glissando:

Glissando is susceptible to the Dark element and resistant to the Light element. The battle against Glissando serves as a warm-up for the upcoming fight with Sirene. It introduces the Charm status: an enchanted team member will spend their turns attacking therest of the expedition, which can quickly lead to catastrophicconsequences. However, this status isn't as significant in thisparticular encounter, as the only attack that inflicts it is quite easyto dodge or parry.

You can also equip the Anti-Charm Lumina, which you obtained by defeating the previous optional boss, Tisseur. This Lumina grants you immunity to the Charm status.

Sciel is an excellent choice for this encounter, as they possess many skills that inflict Dark damage multiple times, exploiting Glissando's weakness.

Upon defeating Glissando, you will receive:

• 43,248 XP
• 2,820 Chroma
• Sirene: An outfit for Lune
• Resplendent Chroma Catalyst x1
