This is how you can get to Windrest Bridge:
1. Get to the Crouching Tiger Entrance: You can find this shrine in the Yellow Wind Formation.
2. Climb the Stairs: Go up the stairs to the left side of the shrine.
3. Path is Closed Off: On top, you will see a path that has been closed over the water.
4. Investigate Boulder Blocking Path: Look at the stone boulder that closes off the path. You need the "Sternness of Stone" item.
5. Get the Item Sternness of Stone (Optional): If you don't have this item, go to Yellow Wind Ridge, specifically to the Fright Cliff area, and defeat a boss called Stone Vanguard to receive this.
6. Head to Windrest Bridge: Continue on the given pathway regardless of whether you have the item called Sternness of Stone.
7. Follow the Route: Be on guard against the monsters who will attack you from both sides.
8. Windrest Bridge Shrine: At the very far end of the path you'll find the shrine for Windrest Bridge.
Note: Defeat of the Stone Vanguard is not a compulsory step, but will open a secret area and grant some really nice loot.
