Early Acquisition:



  • Bitter Lake: Defeat Cyan Loong, one of the more powerful, dragon-like boss enemies located near the Turtle Island shrine. You usually find a small chest nearby containing Fine Gold Thread. In order to fight with the Cyan Loong boss, you will need to have a Loong Scale obtained in Chapter 2.

  • Verdure Bridge Shrine: Go to the Verdure Bridge shrine, and make your way across the wooden bridge to the back. Notice, on your left-hand side, an odd archway with lanterns resting upon it. But they are not normal lanterns-they speak. Have a conversation, and you will be taken through an eerie cutscene, which reveals a hidden door.

  • Treasure Chests: Take the door the mysterious woman speaks of, and you'll be led into a hidden area containing four treasure chests. One of these has a high chance of containing Fine Gold Thread. You can expect to find two threads in every chest you manage to successfully open.
