The boss isn't easy to find, but to face off with this challenging foe, you'll need to navigate the secret area which is hidden behind the walls that look like pretty ordinary ones.


Here are the steps:


  • From Webbed Hollow, teleport into Lower Hollow. This should be the first step to actually getting to the hidden boss.
  • Head left and eliminate cocooned enemies. Be careful, as the path is highly treacherous.
  • Once you notice on the left, the first major outcropping contains a minor crack. Use the crack to enter this hidden section.
  • Go through the gate. You will be in a hidden room with the rare enemy Baw-Li-Guhh-Baw.
  • Go right to find the meditation point. But do not be fooled: the reputed safety of this point will not prepare you to face the real target—over to the left.
  • Go left to find the boss. Just follow the somewhat meandering path that opens up to you further, and soon you will be pitted against the denizen Baw-Li-Guhh-Baw in its hidden coliseum.

As a toad-like Yaoguai, Baw-Li-Guhh-Baw indeed offers a familiar paradigm of kicking attacks. Its tongue, however, is another thing-unique threat it can grab and slam you into the ground. Also, the poisonous green goop it leaks will poison you. So, prepare for these risks with Curio, Armor, and Spirit items that have Poison resistance.


Take down Baw-Li-Guhh-Baw with the right game plan in mind. Go in using Red Tides all at once, the most effective attack that can be used to shave off the remaining HP of the boss. Once it has been injured quite a bit, use an Immobilize spell, which will restrict its movement and leave it defenseless before heavy attacks.


The key to winning is to be proactive and aggressive. Constantly assault Baw-Li-Guhh-Baw in order to keep it weak, and try using the spell Pluck of Many to overwhelm its defenses to your advantage in battle. These maneuvers, along with carefully avoiding its dangerous attacks, will give you a sure win against this fearsome Yaoguai.


For the Black Myth: Wukong game, after defeating Baw-Li-Guhh-Baw, players can have the Buddha's Left Hand in their inventory. This can be useful at Shen Monkey's shop, where useful items and upgrades can thus be accessed.


In order to have this, players have the ability to:


  • Use the Ruyi Scroll: This magical scroll lets its user perform a fast travel to any place directly into the game world, including Shen Monkey's shop.
  • Find Shen Monkey's Shop: Shen Monkey is one of the knowledgeable characters who possesses a shop full of rare treasures. The players will be able to locate his shop either by exploration in the gameworld or through association from other NPCs by following the clues.
