The sixth chapter of Black Myth: Wukong differs radically from what has gone before. Previous chapters had been much more linear in their narrative, but this chapter throws players into a huge open world and asks them to explore at their own leisure. Within this huge landscape, there are a number of bosses—some hidden, others easy to spot—who will challenge players. These aren't just enemies to be defeated but key characters in the story.

To further the plot, players have to search for four major bosses and kill them in order to receive parts of the legendary armor of Sun Wukong. The armor represents power and character growth. It is not only beautiful; it also gives powers and special bonuses to the player.

Now, let us talk about the location of these key bosses in chapter 6. Even though the exact locations might differ in each play, the general areas for all these bosses are the same. Therefore, knowing their possible location makes one able to get a clear idea of exploring and eventually finding them.

How to Find All Boss Locations in Mount Huagu Black Myth Wukong?



  • Cloud-Treading Deer: The most difficult encounter during this part of the game is the Cloud-Treading Deer, off the extreme right of the open world. In theory, you can kill it now, but it's so strong it may be better to return later in your journey. To fight the large creature, from the Supreme Commander, stick to the right side of the map and continue to more obvious trees with red leaves.
  • Gold Armored Rhino: This proud creature occupies a large arena, positioned diametrically across the map from the location of the Cloud-Treading Deer. To gain access to his area, climb up to a higher vantage point and stay on the right-hand side until you come to a battlefield littered with remains of an army that has been defeated. Remember, the Gold Armored Rhino fight requires a little strategy to defeat it, since you will want to have Focus Points for breaking its horn for victory.
  • Feng-Tail General: This boss can be more of a pain than challenging. He is basically a large grasshopper who hops around the map and frequently disappears from view. If he goes missing, then check the left side of the map by the Mantis-Catching Swamp shrine. Rather than fight it, mount the creature's head and look at its antennae. This rather bizarre quest will trigger both a stamina check and a large HP drain on the second try. To make sure you succeed, invest in large amounts of HP upgrades and damage resistance before trying to fight this particular boss.
  • Emerald Armed Mantis: This boss becomes available after defeating the Gold Armored Rhino. The Emerald Armed Mantis is a really aggressive and powerful foe. He awaits in the shrine at the Mantis-Catching Swamp. He requires particularly great skill and strategic thinking to take down due to his relentless attacks. Be prepared to fight a hard battle while confronting this guy.
  • Final Boss: While we avoid revealing the final boss of Chapter 6, we can provide you with a hint. If you want to further advance, then proceed to Wukong's layer behind the Son of Stone boss and you will find what has been unfolding.


Optional Bosses



  • Water-Wood Beast: Within the leftmost of the three large ponds behind the shrine of Mantis-Catching Swamp lies one of the more formidable aquatic foes: the Water-Wood Beast. This giant hippo Yaoguai of legend resides at the bottom of this small haven, waiting for someone of good heart to challenge him. As one draws closer to the center of this pond, the bubbling water will agitate in anticipation of battle.


Now, across this dangerous landscape, there are also three different chieftains of poison, each one a deadlier protector of the land. The first of such poisonous enemies is to the left of the Supreme Commander and is a fearless warrior guarding the heart of the realm. Another is to the right of the Son of Stone as a gigantic creature made out of stone and having incredible power. The third and most elusive of the Poison Chiefs can be found near the elusive Cloud Treading Deer, a mythical creature said to roam in the heavens. Even more, these poisonous rocks are very vicious with their devastating cluster bombs, which can kill in one hit.


On the very right of the map lies an extremely naked and rocky wasteland, very much unlike the green forests and rivers surrounding it. In this land resides one of the most fearsome frog bosses: Ling-Baw-Baw. Be prepared for a tough fight against this powerful enemy in stone state, who is invincible, needing patience, strategy, and sharp, trained eyes that recognize openings of opportunity whenever they do turn up. Ling-Baw-Baw is not an elemental brute force but a wily, evasive creature designed to push any expertise to its limits.


Son of Stone: At the top of the cliff overlooking the towering Cloud sits a huge stone glowing with light, the Son of Stone. This boss can be seen without too much trouble and does not seem quite as daunting compared to other foes. However, the sons have worked out a wicked attack with lightning that calls for caution. Carefully avoiding this devastating AoE will let you come out on top of this relatively easy encounter. Don't belittle the Son of Stone; even the easiest of foes can be quite challenging when given the right situations.
