We have made a detailed guide where we explain to you what is Best Minthara Build in Baldur's Gate 3.

The fantastic Baldur's Gate 3 introduces players to a wide cast of interesting individuals, some of whom may become permanent allies. Not all characters are as easy to spot, but there is a nice range of social classes and characteristics.

Among these friends, Minthara stands out. Being a Paladin, a class that combines power and charisma, has given her incredible strength and captivated many with her captivating character. Learn the optimal build for Minthara here.

Minthara: Who Is She and Where Can I Find Her?

Unlike the majority of the player's potential allies, Minthara does not appear in the game's beginning. This limits the player to starting the game as an ally rather than taking control of her right away. The player's actions in the game determine whether Minthara becomes a friend or an enemy boss to be faced.

To find her, go to the Goblin Camp, specifically to the Shattered Sanctum, where she is one of three Goblin Leaders. As a result of the player's assistance in her raid on the Grove, other party members may decide to quit. After rescuing her from the Moonrise Towers, the player must wait until Act 2 to formally recruit her.

Even if you don't want to raid the Grove in Act 2, you can still recruit Minthara. If you want to defeat her, all you have to do is land a non-lethal blow that will knock her out. Killing the bosses of the Goblin Camp is still possible using this method. Following this, Minthara will make her customary appearance in Moonrise Towers' Act 2 and will require rescuing.

Mandatory Minthara

I think so. I learned to fight for Lolth's cause at the House, and my mother taught me to stay alive in this dangerous world. Be strong and protect your heart from untrustworthy people; that is what she taught me. Both literally and metaphorically.

Because of her impressive strength right from the start, Minthara stands out as a fascinating character in BG3. As a member of the Drow race, she is more precisely a Lolth-Sworn Drow. She plays the role of a Paladin, often considered to be among the game's top classes. Furthermore, her family is from the Noble line. She has mastered the art of persuasion and history as a result. In addition to her perceptual abilities, she is also quite good at athletics and intimidation.

This is Minthara's overall score when it comes to her abilities. We won't be rebalancing Minthara's numbers too much because she gets a companion so late in Act 2, making her unlikely to be the party face. Perhaps the only thing that might be improved is if Charisma were given an additional point instead of DEX or CON.

DATA SCALE - the result

  • Strength: 17
  • Strength and agility: 12
  • Fundamental Laws: 13
  • Intelligence: 8
  • Wisdom: 10
  • Charisma: 15

The Blood Oath of Paladin

Players will not have the opportunity to have Minthara in their party from the beginning of the game because, as previously stated, she becomes a friend very later on and is not an origin character. It is recommended to respec her at Withers' if you want to maximize her potential.

From the very beginning, Level 1 Paladins choose their subclass.

  • To unlock Inquisitor's Might, choose Oath of Vengeance as your subclass.
  • Choose a Proficient Area: Athletics or Intimidation

Even if you do decide to break your Vengeance Oath, Minthara will remain a formidable opponent thanks to the Oathbreaker.

Second Level

Divine Smite is at your disposal, and you get to choose your battle style. You also get access to several useful spells, including as Command, Thunderous Smite, Searing Smite, and more.

  • Great Weapon Fighting is an option for fighting styles.

Level 3

Minthara obtains Divine Health at Level 3. Abjure Enemy, Bane, Hunter's Mark, and Vow of Enmity are some of the new spells that have been included.

An often-misunderstood spell, Vow of Enmity is actually rather effective. Cast it upon yourself, not the enemy.

In Level 4

Minthara achieves her very first feat. Great Weapon Master is your best bet here.

With Level 5, Minthara gains an additional attack. Aid, Protection from Poison, Lesser Restoration, Branding Smite, and Magic Weapon are some of the new spells you can learn. Additionally, she acquires the useful spells Hold Person and Misty Step.

Stage 6

Aura of Protection, a new passive, is available; it increases surrounding friends' CHA saving throws.

Stage 7

After using an Attack of Opportunity, a new ability called Relentless Avenger becomes available, which increases movement speed.

Level 8

Unlock a new feat at level 8. Add one point to STR and one point to CHA by selecting Ability Improvement.

Ninth grade

Daylight, Revivify, Remove Curse, Elemental Weapon, Blinding Smite, Crusader's Mantle, and Warden of Vitality are some of the new spells that have been unlocked. In addition, you gain speed and energy protection.

For as long as Minthara is not unconscious or down, her companions within range are protected from fear by her passive Aura of Courage, which she gains at Level 10.

Level 11

At level 11, Minthara's Divine Smites gain a 1d8 bonus, increasing their damage output.

Grade 12

Choose your last Feat. Here you can find a number of excellent choices:

  • Attention: Initiative receives a Bonus of 5 points. Works well on practically every class that doesn't come with a strong DEX stat.
  • Rough: Your health bar will grow as your level does.
  • The Savage Attacker uses the highest result from each weapon attack rolls twice.
  • Prolonged: 1 point to CON.
  • Hardy: Level up a stat of your choosing by one point.

Minthara is a formidable character that players may harness with the help of the best multiclass. It is well-known that her usual class is the Paladin, and it suits her character wonderfully. But they can attempt Multiclassing her to make her more diverse and versatile. This is a multiclass building that the player can investigate.

This Multiclass build in BG3 makes use of three classes—the Rogue, the Cleric, and the Paladin.

The player should begin the game by leaving Minthara level one as a Paladin. Aside from Divine Senses and Channel Oath Charges, she would also get Lay On Hands, an excellent healing spell to start with. The player must also choose which Oath Minthara will wear at this point. Players are tasked with selecting the last Oath from among the Oath of Ancients, Oath of Devotion, and Oath of Vengeance. In doing so, they will gain the power of the Inquisitor and be bound to the Oath of Vengeance.

Keeping with the theme, Minthara should also remain a Paladin on level 2. She possesses the key to one of the greatest Paladin actions, Divine Smite, and the first level of Paladin Spellcasting. Protection, great weapon fighting, dueling, and defense are the four fighting styles she will have the opportunity to choose from. Her best bet here is to become a master of weapon fighting.

Now that Minthara is a level 3 Paladin, she can acquire Divine Health, a subclass ability, Vow of Enemy, Bane, Hunter's Mark, and Abjure Enemy. Each of these will provide Minthara a distinct advantage over her adversaries, whether it's by terrifying them or by increasing her damage output.

At Paladin level 4, Minthara gains the ability to select a feat and additional charges for Lay On Hands. Since she can roll her dice twice and utilize the highest result when attacking, Savage Attacker is a fantastic choice for her.
