In the immersive world of Assassin's Creed Shadows, the Hideout isn't just a place to plan missions; it's a personal sanctuary. It's where you can express your creative side, especially with Sumi-e paintings and other decorations. This guide will walk you through customizing your Hideout, making it both beautiful and functional.

AC Shadows: How To Add A Sumi-E To The Hideout

Unlocking the Art of Display: Sumi-e Paintings

To start showcasing your Sumi-e paintings, you'll need the Study building. If you don't have it, you can buy it from an Ornament Vendor. Once you're in your Hideout, use the table in the Hiroma (the main house) to enter modification mode. Here’s a step-by-step:

Build or Select the Study: Make sure you have the Study ready.

Customize the Study: Choose to modify the Study.

Find Station Sets: Scroll through the menu to find "Station Sets."

Select Hanging Walls: Choose "Set 2," which has the hanging wall options for paintings.

Pick Your Painting: Select the Sumi-e painting you want to display.

Place It: Put the painting on the wall.

Doing this not only decorates your Hideout but also unlocks the "Chase the Morning" achievement/trophy.

Buildings Beyond Decoration: Hidden Buffs and Knowledge

The buildings in your Hideout aren'tjust for show. Many, even decorative ones like the Tea Room, give Naoeand Yasuke helpful buffs. Also, Sumi-e spots provide Knowledge points,which you need to upgrade your characters' abilities. Remember, someSumi-e spots are only available during certain seasons, so keep an eyeout.

Decorating with Statuettes and More

If you want to add statuettes and other items to your Hideout’s interiorrooms, use "Set 1" or "Set 3," which have shelves. The process issimilar to placing paintings:

Select Shelves: Choose "Set 1" or "Set 3" for shelves.

Pick Slots: Select the slots you want to decorate.

Place Items: Put your statuettes or other items on the shelves.

You can even put multiple of the same item on the shelves if you want. Ifyou’d rather have pets than paintings, you can do that too.

Strategic Decorating: Function and Aesthetics

When decorating, think about both how your Hideout looks and how it works.Try to build structures that give you useful buffs. Also, pay attentionto the seasons, so you don’t miss out on any Knowledge points fromSumi-e spots.

Make sure you haveenough space in your inventory for all the decorations you find.Exploring the world will give you more decoration options.
