How to complete A Long Lost Key quest in Assassin's Creed Shadows

"A Long Lost Key" is the sixth main quest in the Claws of Awaji expansion for Assassin's Creed Shadows. It follows the "Way of the Bo" quest, where you learned the location of Tsuyu's key from the Bo master. This quest is a test of your knowledge of the new Awaji Island region, as you'll have to rely on a series of clues to find the key. The objective can be tricky, as it requires you to find a specific spot on the map to dig up the item.

Quest Walkthrough: A Long Lost Key

After speaking with the Bo master and completing the "Way of the Bo" quest, you will be given a set of clues to find Tsuyu's key:

• It is located west of the Yura region.
• It is buried near the Okunoion Sasayama Shrine.
• It can be reached by going through the Mountainside Ruins.

Step 1: Navigate to the Key's Location

Based on the clues, your destination is the area west of Yura, in the southern part of Awaji Island. The key is located near the Okunoion Sasayama Shrine viewpoint. The exact spot is to the north of the Mountainside Ruins.

Head to the shrine viewpoint first, and then proceed directly north. Youwill be able to see the Mountainside Ruins to your south. Look for asmall patch of disturbed ground, which indicates the location where thekey is buried.

Step 2: Retrieve the Key

When you find the right spot, interact with the ground to dig up thekey. As soon as you retrieve the item, a cutscene will trigger, and youwill be ambushed by a new enemy and their forces. The primary target isreferred to as "Unknown" and will attack you from a distance while hisforces charge in for a close-quarters fight.

Step 3: Survive the Ambush

This part of the quest is a mini-boss battle. You'll be dealing withmultiple enemies at once. The "Unknown" target will primarily uselong-range strikes, so make sure to dodge their attacks while you dealwith the enemies that are closing in. Your new Bo staff is an excellenttool for dealing with the close-range enemies, as its wide-sweepingattacks can hit multiple targets.

After you have eliminated all of the normal enemies, you will need to confront "Unknown" directly. Asyou close the distance, the mysterious target will immediately flee,concluding the "A Long Lost Key" quest. You will then be able tocontinue on to the next mission in the Claws of Awaji expansion.
