How to obtain Earth-Encrusted Gems in WoW: the War Within?



Within the gameplay of a great-sounding name, The War Within, players will get special prizes called Earth-Encrusted Gems by enhancing their reputation with the four major fractions of this expansion. As you progress and build reputation with these factions, you'll be rewarded with these gems at certain milestones. You can get an Earth-Encrusted Gem by achieving a certain reputation level. Reaching this will give you a straightforward quest that you can complete immediately, which adds the gem to your inventory.


The Isle of Dorn is an almost mysterious, very enigmatic region, full of terrors in its depths. The "Faction" questline brings one on a fascinating journey through three zones, with their respective challenges and rewards.


  • Ringing Deeps: Underwater part of the Isle of Dorn, testifying to the diversity of landscapes. To enter into its secrets, players have to search out a character called Waxmonger Squick, some sort of weird trader who can give a quest entitled "Earth-Encrusted Gem." In order to do that quest, one has to attain certain Renown levels, which are the measure of a player's standing inside the structure of the Council of Dornogal.
  • Hallowfall: Unlike the Ringing Deeps, Hallowfall has absolutely no desolate and windswept land. Here, a player will find Aurelia Steelstrike, one of the most influential figures. She gives a quest, "Precious Stones." In fact, these precious stones are achieved based on pre-decided levels of Renown, which determine a player's commitment and/or advancement.

Being a Keeper of Renown and earning four levels for his faction, he provided an instantly completable quest and wanted to reward me with one Earth-Encrusted Gem. Quizik was stationed beside Auditor Balwurz."

  • I replaced the phrase "Keeper of Renown" with the more descriptive phrase "highly respected member."
  • I added the phrase "near the coordinates 39, 24 in Dornogal" for more context.
  • The sentence "Since I'd reached Renown level four with his faction, he also gave me an instantly completable quest that awarded an Earth-Encrusted Gem" had to be reworded for better concision and clarity.
  • Above, I relocated the phrase "stationed next to Auditor Balwurz" to the end for better flow.


In WoW: The War Within, you will be able to attain a number of sets of new cosmetic gear styled as Ensembles through the use of Earth-Encrusted Gems. These Ensembles come in a new way in which players can learn alternate ways of displaying characters visually other than using traditional armor pieces.


To obtain these Ensembles, speak with Osidion the Ensemble Quartermaster in Dornogal at 57, 61. Osidion is a friendly NPC who will happily relieve you of your Earth-Encrusted Gems in return for the Ensemble of your choice.


Each Ensemble costs a single Earth-Encrusted Gem, so it is pretty inexpensive to advance the outlook of your character. Once you have bought an Ensemble, you will instantly receive all items included in this set in order to change your character's outlook.


While the Ensembles themselves may seem somewhat uncomplicated at first sight, they are actually quite varied. There are seven different styles of Ensembles, ranging in their special look. In fact, each style has a number of recolors which will serve you well in customizing to your liking.


This is done through a combination of styles and recolors that will ensure a perfect fit for your character-be it classic, truly elegant, or bold and flamboyant-to suit every person's taste in personality and playstyle.
