Towers of Aghasba is an engrossing game that players can become lost in as they collect resources, protect their hamlet from monsters, and help their fellow villagers prosper. Having an idea of where to get specific resources can come in handy as you learn more recipes and hone your making abilities.
As they expand their community, players will come upon several resources, one of which being dung. Although it isn't the most visually appealing item in the game, it is a necessary ingredient in a lot of crafting recipes. Knowing this, it will be much easier to advance through Towers of Aghasba if you know how to collect Dung.
Where To Find Dung
Dung is basically just animal waste, therefore you'll have to meet some wild animals if you want to collect it. Fortunately, this will happen naturally as the story unfolds, starting from the moment you plant the Temperate Colossal Seed. Once the seed is planted, a plethora of new visitors, representing the game's diverse fauna, will be waiting for you.
You can basically get your hands on Dung in two different ways. The most basic is to feed the animals; doing so will constitute a form of barter with the wild species. Dung, along with other commodities like Fresh Eggs and Temperate Seeds, will be dropped at random intervals after they eat the food you provide them. The former is especially helpful because some animals will consume things that other creatures drop, such as Fresh Eggs.
There is another, more straightforward way to get Dung, but it's significantly less common and only works with specific creatures. The more docile animals, like the harelope, will be startled and drop Dung as you get closer. This is a rare opportunity to get an additional amount of the resource with little to no effort.
Recipes for Animal Food
Though it may seem like a straightforward chore, remember that animals have diverse nutritional preferences. For example, if an animal doesn't enjoy berries, you shouldn't throw a bunch of them. Having said that, it's not hard to figure out what they consume; players can just use the Shimuscope to scan each creature and see what they eat and drop as treasure.
Aim and toss the item you want to feed an animal onto the ground after equipping it. The process is identical to that of your character's bow and arrow; when it hits its target, a wisp will materialize between the animal and its prey, signaling that it is about to devour it. After devouring it, they will release the sought-after Dung.
