The most interesting thing about the new rice crop in Farming Simulator 25 is that planting and harvesting it's a whole different experience. Getting the crop to grow according to the instructions can be a bit challenging at the start if you're not used to them.
For obvious financial reasons, many players of Farming Simulator 25 will want to get started with planting and harvesting rice crops as soon as possible. But if you want your crop to turn out well, you'll need specific tools and plenty of time. This, therefore, is a detailed guide on how to grow and harvest rice.
First things first, you're going to want to make sure you have the correct equipment to grow rice. You'll need the usual suspects for planting and harvesting crops, such as a tractor and trailer, but also the specialist Rice Harvester and Rice Planter. Both of these are available from the shop's Vehicles section, specifically under the Special Crops heading. The next step is to acquire Rice Saplings, which can be done either commercially or by cultivating them in a greenhouse.
The next step after gathering all of the required tools is to select an open area in which you can plant your rice. Construction of a rice field will be your next step, and it could be found in the Construction menu under the tab of Cultivation. You can head to the next step after your field is built.
Once you have placed your Rice and Field, go to the water pump and fill it. This is the most important part because if the water level of the field gets too low, the seedlings will die, and all your work will be ruined. Thankfully, rice has a maturation period of roughly four months, so you won't have to keep doing this for too long until the seedlings are ready for harvest.
Once you have collected all of the rice seedlings and fertilizer, fill your planter with the two materials and plant them in the paddy. While the actual planting months for rice are the months of April and May, you can always turn off the seasons in the settings and plant it whenever you want.
Rice has four distinct phases of growth, and each of those phases requires a slightly different amount of water. Fortunately, the water pump does not allow us to select an option that is not appropriate to the stage of rice growth. Your only daily task should be to keep the proper water levels in the field.
You can start harvesting when the crop turns yellow, which means it has developed. You only need to sit in the special harvester, switch it on, and start picking rice row by row. Just make sure your trailer is behind the harvester so you can collect it after it's done.
Rice goes for about $3300, and the rates screen in the menu will indicate where you can find vendors who will take rice. Once you arrive, scroll down and click on the rice to find out not only which stores sell rice but also which ones give you the best deal. You will be growing and selling your first batch of rice in Farming Simulator 25 when you finally bring your trailer full of rice to a selling point.
In this sense, knowing How to Plant Rice in Farming Simulator 25, allows you to embark on the formation of an interesting crop in the game, try it.
