How to Do Knife Takedowns in Stalker 2
Every gunfight in Stalker 2 has the potential to be fatal, therefore players must exercise caution while selecting battles. Although many inhabitants of the Zone will open fire upon seeing you, you can avoid their bullets by ambushing them in the dark. At this point, stealth takedowns become useful.
If you're looking for an immersive simulation with stealth features, you'll love this one. You can use your knife to sneak up on foes and quiet them whenever you want. Everyone should know how to perform stealth takedowns because they are incredibly useful on the hardest difficulty setting in Stalker 2.
How to Do Knife Takedowns
You can use Skif's knife for more than just chopping wood and crates. In order to avoid engaging a whole enemy camp, you can perform a stealth kill by sneaking up behind an adversary, drawing your knife, and pressing the Fire button. Do not assault Skif until he raises his knife. Otherwise, he'll resort to a standard knife assault, which really has a quite low probability of completely eliminating an opponent.
Be sure no adversaries are in your way, or that those that are looking away, because the animations for knife takedowns take a bit to finish. You can conceal corpses by picking them up and putting them somewhere out of sight if you're concerned about alerting your adversaries. Remember that Poltergeists and other mutants won't be affected by this.
Stalker 2's stealth isn't quite up to scratch. Putting some sort of substantial barrier between yourself and your enemies should make concealing from them a breeze. But you can increase the likelihood that they'll notice you if you step out into the open while they're looking in your direction. In the Lesser Zone, beneath the Dome, there is an underground facility that is ideal for stealth takedowns because of its linear layout.
The Best Places to Get Quiet Weapons
If you're not confident in your knife's stealth capabilities, then firearms are your best bet. You can eliminate entire enemy camps covertly using suppressed weapons if you're skilled enough. Sometimes, as part of a quest or in a specific cache, you can locate guns that have been silenced.
In addition to finding suppressors in stashes, you might also be able to buy them from specific dealers. Near the beginning of the game, you can find a pistol suppressor for the PTM pistol. Enter the building occupied by Gloomy during the Dangerous Visitors quest in Stalker 2. Locate the stockpile on the end of the second floor and open it. With Skif's service pistol, you can equip the included silencer to your weapon of choice, along with a Viper-5 and various supplies.
In Stalker 2, silencers are unbreakable and won't degrade your guns' performance. Put these on your weaponry and shoot for the head for fast kills.
