In The Stone of Madness, strategy and adaptability are key to overcoming the challenges that await you. As you progress, you'll discover that your characters' unique skills are crucial to your success. However, true power is unleashed through Revelations, additional abilities that transform your characters into masters of infiltration and survival.

What are Skills and Revelations?

  • Skills: These are the unique specializations of each character. For example, Eduardo can carry heavy objects, Alfredo can uncover hidden clues, and Amelia can slip through narrow spaces.
  • Revelations: These are additional abilities that you can unlock for each character, expanding their capabilities and opening up new strategic possibilities.

The Stone of Madness: How to Gain Knowledge to Unlock Skills

  • Accumulate Knowledge (EXP): The essence to unlock Revelations.
  • Access the Revelations Menu: Open the main menu (View button or ESC) and navigate to the Revelations tab.
  • Acquire Abilities: Select the desired character and purchase their available Revelations.

    • Types of Revelations


    Each character can unlock up to five Revelations, classified into four types:

    • Passive: Always active, providing constant benefits.
    • Allowed: Can be used near guards and nurses without alerting them.
    • Forbidden: Using these near guards and nurses can result in being caught.
    • Night Phase: Can only be used in the cell before starting a mission.

    Obtaining Knowledge Points

    Knowledge points are earned through gameplay.

    Can You Farm Knowledge?

    Resources in The Stone of Madness are limited, which prevents farming them.However, you can speed up Alfredo's book reading (a source of Knowledge) with this method:

  • Start a session.
  • Pray at a holy statue to advance to night.
  • Return to the cell.
  • Use your reset Action Points to read more books.
  • Repeat the process.
