How to Get Cedric's Fusion Cell in Stellar Blade

The "King of the Tunnel" side quest becomes available in Stellar Blade after you defeat Tachy, the Alpha Naytiba, and return from the Matrix 11 location. Once that main story quest is complete, seek out Cedric, the somewhat rude Sentinel in Xion. He's usually found near the vending machine close to the Sister's Junk store.Cedric will task EVE with navigating the abandoned Hypertube in the Great Desert to retrieve a lost fusion cell. While Cedric seems to have a hidden agenda, completing this mission will reward EVE with valuable upgrade materials for her equipment and weapons. This guide will show you where to find the Hypertube and the missing Fusion Cell.

Stellar Blade: Where to Find the Hypertube in the Great Desert

To get to the Great Desert area, you first need to speak with Adam in Xion. If you've already accepted the "King of the Tunnel" quest from Cedric, make sure to talk to Adam at the safehouse near the ship. You'll need to watch the accompanying cutscene before he can transport you to the Great Desert.Once you land in the Great Desert:

Open Your Map: Immediately open your map.

Mark the Quest: Mark the "King of the Tunnel" quest objective on your map.

Head Southwest: Travel southwest toward the end of the large metallic tube sticking out of the ground. This is the Hypertube.

Beware of Enemies: There are many dangerous enemies lurking near the Hypertube, including Lurkers. If you have the rumble feature active on your controller, you'll feel the ground shaking before they attack. When the vibration gets stronger, be ready to dodge out of the way!When you arrive at the tunnel's opening, which will be marked on your map, Adam will confirm it's the correct entrance. Prepare yourself to surf down to the bottom of the tunnel, doing your best to avoid as many explosives as possible during the descent.

The Hypertube Cave (Where to Find the Fusion Cell)

At the very bottom of the Hypertube slide, EVE will land in a pool of water. Before diving in:

Investigate Bodies: Leave the pool to investigate the two bodies nearby for some XP and a Data Bank entry.

Climb Ropes & Activate Camp: Climb the ropes at the end of the cave. This will allow you to open agate and activate a camp area, provided you've already activated theSolar Tower.

Retrieve the Old Fusion Cell:

Return to the Pool: Go back to the pool of water where you landed.

Dive Under: Dive beneath the surface to explore.

Find Hidden Body: Behind a stack of boxes underwater, you'll find another body to investigate for more XP and a Data Bank entry.

Open the Chest: Swim to the opposite side of the water to open a chest and retrieve the Old Fusion Cell.

Once you have the Old Fusion Cell, a prompt will appear: "Return to clientnow?" Select this option to teleport back to Xion and speak to Cedric.

After a brief conversation with Cedric, Adam will instruct EVE to use the Fusion Cell on the Fusion Drive located in the corner. Inside, EVE will discover a video memorybelonging to Cedric's wife. Following another brief conversation, EVEwill receive the following rewards for completing the quest: 30 Micro Coils, 60 Micro Motors, and 120 Micro Drives.
