How to Change Ammo in Stellar Blade

In certain sections of Stellar Blade, EVE's primary melee weapon, the Blood Edge, becomes unusable, forcing players to rely entirely on ranged attacks. This can pose a challenge, as EVE initially has a limited capacity of 30 slug rounds, which can quickly deplete during combat, leaving her without a means to attack.While the game usually provides ample ammo drops and refill stations in these gun-only areas, and there are ways to increase EVE's maximum ammo capacity, these solutions aren't always helpful when you're caught without ammo mid-fight. Fortunately, knowing how to change ammo types can be a lifesaver.

Stellar Blade: How to Change Ammo

To switch to a different type of ammo, you'll need to aim down your sights (L2 on controller) and then hold Down on the D-Pad (or R if you're using a keyboard). This action will bring up the ammo selection wheel, allowing you to choose your desired ammo type.Initially, EVE will only have access to Slug, Stinger, and Blaster Cells. However, you can unlock Explosive Shells and Shotgun Shells by utilizing Drone Enhancement Modules at a Repair Console. These modules can also be used to upgrade your maximum ammo capacity, as can equipping an Eagle Eye-Type Exospine.

All Ammo Types in Stellar Blade

Here are the different ammo types available to EVE:

• Slug: This is the default ammo type, offering a basic ranged attack.
• Stinger: This ammo type fires multiple missiles after locking onto targets. Thenumber of missiles fired per shot can be increased through upgrades.
• Blaster Cell: After being charged, this ammo fires a continuous beam of energy for a predetermined duration, effective for sustained damage.
• Shotgun Shells: Ideal for close-quarters combat, these shells provide a wider spread, making them effective against groups of nearby enemies.
• Explosive Shells: These shots explode upon impact, dealing secondary damage to nearby enemies, making them great for crowd control.

How to Increase Ammo Capacity Using Mods (PC Only)

For PC players, mods offer additional ways to boost EVE's ammo capacity:

• Orcax1399's Carry Capacity Increase mod: This mod significantly increases EVE's ammo capacity by ten times anddoubles her potion carrying capacity, while also providing minor booststo her basic stats.
• LordGregory's 9999 Ammo Limits mod: As the name suggests, this mod sets the maximum ammo capacity for eachtype to 9999. However, players will still need to scavenge or purchaseammo to reach this max capacity, which can still be a chore if ammorefill stations are scarce.
