How to Access:
Complete the Defector Quest: Crimson Opportunity - This probably is one of those story-advancing or at least important quests, wherein one has to help a defector from a hostile faction. Its successful completion will grant access to the South Jundland Waste, which was previously inaccessible.

Depending on how fast one travels, the route taken, and eventual obstacles, it would take about 15 minutes to get to where the treasure was in the South Jundland Waste. That's how long the travel should take under average conditions.
Completion of the Defector quest is a prerequisite to gaining entrance into Daroona House and looting its wealth.
