The Cling Grip Ancestral Art

The Cling Grip is a fundamental movement ability that allows Hornet to cling to vertical walls, enabling her to scale them by jumping off the surface. This ability is essential for reaching new, previously inaccessible areas and is a cornerstone of the game's movement-based platforming.Important Note: Acquiring this ability is a core part of the game's progression and requires you to fight a mandatory boss. Be sure to save your progress at a rest bench before you begin this journey.

Location of the Cling Grip Ancestral Art

The Cling Grip Ancestral Art is located in the upper sections of the Shellwood region. To begin your journey, you must first find your way toShellwood itself. Once there, your first priority should be to locatethe regional map from the map merchant, Shakra, to make navigation easier.

Reaching the Cling Grip Ancestral Art

Follow these steps to reach the Ancestral Art:

• Finding the Path: After acquiring the map from Shakra in Shellwood, head to the left. You will find a section with a rest sign and a series of platforms aboveyou.
• Climbing amidst the Phacia: As you begin yourascent, you will need to use diagonal pogo jumps off of white flowers to climb higher. This requires careful timing and momentum.
• Running through Enemies: After reaching the top, you will arrive at a large central platformwith spikes on either side. Head to the platform on the right andcontinue into the next giant room. Run through the Splinter enemies, climb a few platforms, and then avoid the Gahlia heads as you climb. You will eventually encounter a lift, but toproceed, you must avoid it and continue to the right. (Alternatively,you can take the lift down to a resting bench to save your game.)
• The Waterfall Room: You will now be in a room with a pond and a waterfall. Continue heading right until you find a series of golden platforms. Climb these to thetop and then head left, where you will face more diagonal jumps thattake you deeper into the area.
• Sister Splinter Boss Fight: As you continue left, a new boss named Sister Splinter will emerge. This is a mandatory boss, and you must defeat her toproceed. Sister Splinter is the area boss for Shellwood and asignificant obstacle on your path.
• Navigating the Spiked Platforms: After the boss fight, keep heading left into a new room. You mustcarefully step down to lower platforms filled with Gahlias. Use yourneedle to clear them out or jump at the right moment to avoid theirattacks. Head further left to encounter a double Gahlia. Jump off of awhite flower to get past them, then reach the platform on the immediateright. From there, head up and to the left.
• Water, Vines, and More Pogo: The next room is filled with water and vines blocking your path. Strike the vines to clear them out and proceed left. You will find anotherdouble Gahlia to avoid before reaching the platform above them. Proceedright, where you will need to perform a triple diagonal jump off ofwhite flowers to continue further right.
• Claiming the Ancestral Art: In the next room, you will be directly in front of the Cling GripAncestral Art. Interact with it to acquire this new ability and gain awhole new set of movement options for Hornet.

With the Cling Grip, you can now cling to and scale walls, which is essential for both combat and exploration. Remember to heal whenever possible during yourjourney and to use rest benches to save your progress, especially withthe mandatory boss fight on this route.
