We invite you to discover How to Dispose of Nuclear Waste in Satisfactory with our practical guide today.
Nuclear waste, especially uranium waste, is a huge pain to work around in Satisfactory. With the early game, there's no market for these scraps because they don't fall into any manufacturing lines and are therefore a "useless" resource. No amount of Awesome Sink will sink them, and therefore radiation is a problem regardless of where you store it. The good news is that this nuclear waste can be handled in an ingenious way. In this respect, the following steps can be followed for long-term disposal of nuclear or uranium waste in Satisfactory.
How to Dispose of Nuclear Waste in Satisfactory?
A nuclear power plant can't operate without the uranium fuel rods. When all of the rods are depleted, you'll have Uranium Waste. You'll need to place uranium waste in an Industrial Storage Container loop, since it isn't going to disappear into thin air, as you can clearly see in the picture above.
Stockpiling them is the first order of business, since you haven't figured out a way to dispose of them. just yet. Complete the Tier 8-Particle Enrichment goal and get Non-Fissile Uranium, the Particle Accelerator, and other goodies. You will finally be able to use the Uranium Waste when you get this technology. If you fail to complete the milestone in time, know that you'll have to upgrade your storage capacity to continue keeping the Uranium Waste in order not to have your power cut off.
Plutonium Fuel Rods are being produced without any hiccups
Your product needs the following assembly lines:
- One water extractor running at a low speed of 30 liters per minute
- One nitric acid mixer
- (1) Sulfuric acid manufacturing plant
- The two Constructors are underclocked to produce 25 silica grains every minute, or 66.66667 metric tons of silica.
- 2-Blender Setup for Non-Fissile Uranium Production (Sulfuric Acid Refinery Uses Water Byproduct)
- The Concrete Crafters: Four Persons
- Fabrication of Pellet Plutonium by one particle accelerator
- ConcreteArtisans: Four Men
- Four Labourers Making Plutonium Cells Sheathed
The two blender water by-products also have to be merged together and piped into the sulfuric acid refinery. It all balances out in the figures, and the refinery won't need to buy additional water above and beyond what the refinery needs. The process for getting started however is to start production by merging the Water Extractor with the Blender and Refinery in production of the acids.
Once the Refinery has produced two pumps' worth of sulfuric acid from the water extractor, you can cut this off and let it run off the Blenders' waste.
At first, this is the first configuration for the Plutonium Fuel Rods running in 100% efficiency with 100 uranium waste per minute. Each of the nuclear power plants is able to produce ten milligrams of uranium waste every minute. Thus, the plutonium fuel rods production lines will require ten such kinds of nuclear power plants.
All you have to do in order to upscale is to copy the output from each of the above-mentioned production lines.
Materials needed in the assembly line:
- Uranium Decomposition Rocks into Silica
- Hydrogen Sulfuric Acid from Hydrogen Sulfur and Water
- To convert nitrogen gas to nitric acid, it takes water and an iron plate.
- Transporting Limestone into Concrete with Water
Since you're just going to use a bit of each of these materials, and since making a complete assembly line seems kinda useless, here's what you should steal:
Iron Plates, Steel Beams, and Electromagnetic Control Rods Other materials will be required as well, but you can save time and effort by simply drawing them directly from your stockpiles. Since they are not required along the entire length of the assembly line, you might want to consider a train delivery system or drone delivery system to transport these materials. Lacking in these resources, you can automate making Plutonium Fuel Rods, but for all intents and purposes, it's WAY easier to simply ramp up your existing production lines and send some over to your Plutonium base.
You'll need an Awesome Sink to plunge the Plutonium Fuel Rods into the instant you get them. In fact, you'll need to take every step to dispose of the Uranium Waste, too. If Plutonium Fuel Rods are ever utilized in nuclear power plants, then more waste will be produced, namely Plutonium Waste.
The best arrangement of affairs regarding the matter, since there will never be a better version, is that the nuclear power runs forever and that there is a method of disposing of the waste. If you are unconcerned with the uranium waste produced, it is still advisable to utilize uranium fuel rods for the main source of fuel for the plants.
We conclude this guide on How to Dispose of Nuclear Waste in Satisfactory, hoping that it will be useful and that you will continue to enjoy this game.
