The Legend of Zelda Echoes of Wisdom will involve Zelda discovering strange items known as Monster Stones. When this peculiar item is first given to Zelda, it is not known what she is to do with it. This will raise the rate of Monster Stones that appear from them. You can increase the drop rates of all enemies if you so prefer, and the best version of this tool is the Survey Binoculars, which further increases the drop rates from the Survey Scope itself, which increases the chances of finding all materials. You'll get both in exchange for completing the "Recipes, Please!" side quest. Once you have completed Jabul Ruins, go to the stone ring at the top of Sea Zora Village and complete the "Precious Treasure" quest to obtain three Monster Stones by bringing a treasure chest to the Zora.
"The Mythical Deku Snake"—Talk to the Deku Scrub outside the Smoothie Shop in Faron Wetlands after completing the Faron Temple. Your reward upon completion will be two Monster Stones.
You can also receive Monster Stones by scanning amiibo in the form of rewards in Echoes of Wisdom. I wouldn't recommend it, though-the frequency for Monster Stones is really low, and amiibo can only be used three times a day. But it's an option.

Secrets to Mastering Monster Stones

Monster Stones in Echoes of Wisdom are mainly used in restoring Automatons through Dampé Studio.

About halfway through Echoes of Wisdom, you can activate automatons, and here's how you repair them. Unlike Echoes, automatons are mechanical creatures crafted by Dampé; they, as a result take damage that renders them irreparable. You should not leave Eastern Hyrule Field until you have gone back to Dampé Studio at the northernmost end of the field.

The option to have your Automaton fixed shows up when talking to Dampé in his studio. If you want to see which Automatons need repair, this is a selection you can make. You can restore an Automaton before it's completely broken. You should expect to see Automatons in a variety of broken down states on your menu if you employ them.
