Rematch, Sloclap's highly anticipated 5v5 action football game, has officially launched, bringing its unique blend of strategic gameplay to players. However, like many new titles, it's not entirely without its share of bugs and issues, which are unfortunately impacting player experience and potentially sales. One particularly frustrating problem reported by PC players is an issue where their in-game player becomes stiff and unresponsive, making it impossible to control. This guide will share everything known about this "unable to move" issue, along with an effective workaround that has helped some players.Recent reports from Rematch players indicate that after launching the game and entering a match, they find themselves unable to control their in-game player, with controls simply not responding. This problem seems to occur most frequently when players are loaded late into matches. While an official fix from the developers is not yet widely available, there is a tried-and-tested workaround that has proven successful for some.
Fix Rematch Unable to Move Issue
The most effective workaround with a high success rate for resolving the "unable to move" issue in Rematch involves deleting a specific folder within your PC's AppData directory. This is particularly relevant for players who participated in the game's beta, as it appears that conflicting files from the beta and full versions might be causing this problem.
The Workaround: Deleting the "Runtime" FolderClose Rematch and Steam: Ensure both the game and your Steam client are completely closed before proceeding.Navigate to the AppData Folder:- Open your C: drive.
- Go to the Users folder.
- Open the folder with your username (e.g., C:\Users\YourUsername).
- Look for the AppData folder.
- Note: The AppData folder is often hidden by default. If you cannot see it, go to the"View" tab in your File Explorer, then "Show," and check "Hidden items."
Locate and Delete the "Runtime" Folder:- Inside the AppData folder, open the Local folder.
- Within the Local folder, find the folder named "Runtime." This folder is believed to contain old beta data that conflicts with the current game version.
- Right-click on the "Runtime" folder and select "Delete."
Relaunch and Test: Once the "Runtime" folder has been deleted, try launching Rematch again and enter a match to see if the "unable to move" issue persists. This workaround is specifically aimed at players who participated in thegame's beta, as the conflict seems to stem from leftover beta files. Bydeleting the Runtime folder, you effectively clear out this old data, which should prevent the problem from reoccurring.
