• Unlike some games where resources or creatures respawn instantly or randomly, Cast N Chill utilizes a timed respawn mechanism for its fish populations. This is a deliberate design choice by the developer, Wombat Brawler.
• According to a direct comment from Wombat Brawler on the game's Steam Community forum, fish in the demo version respawned after approximately 20 minutes.
• With the full game's release, the respawn time has been reduced, as promised by the developer. A Steam user who performed calculations noted that most non-legendary fish appear to respawn after a period, but the exact duration varies by location and potentially by fish type.
• For instance, fish in starting areas like Goldenfork River tend to respawn quite quickly, often within 10-15 minutes or even less. However, in later-game areas, the respawn cycle for most fish can extend to roughly half a game day.
• This means that if you've "fished out" a particular type of fish from aspecific location, they won't immediately reappear. You'll need to give the area time to replenish its stock before returning.

Location Exhaustion

• Cast N Chill features 13 distinct fishing spots, each with its own unique set of fish species. If you have completelycleared out a specific type of fish in one spot, rather than idlywaiting for the respawn timer, it might be significantly more efficientto simply move to another location and try your luck there. This allows you to continue fishing actively while other spots are regenerating.
