This time we return with a guide with the objective of explaining to you How to get a Sentinel Interceptor ship in No Man’s Sky.

In this enormous universe of No Man's Sky, the spaceship is not just any vehicle but is your required and trusted companion. Since it's going to be the anchor that carries you through all of your cosmic adventures, your ship can be constantly upgraded and customized. Each ship comes with a unique appearance and functional specialty, such as the power of a fighter or the strength of an explorer.

Of the many various classes of ships, the Sentinel Interceptor holds a peculiar place as something both fearsome and desirable. Usually encountered as the antagonists, these robotic ships are there to protect the order in space, mercilessly hunting those who would want to become lawbreakers. In a testament to its might, a function is designed for them to be imposing vessels. Yet to the daredevil space explorer, the proud boast is actually managing to capture a Sentinel Interceptor transubstantiating what was once a fearsome foe into a powerful tool.

How to get a Sentinel Interceptor ship in No Man's Sky

You can find a Sentinel Interceptor in No Man's Sky through an exploration of the Dissonant Systems. Indicated by a specific marker in the galaxy map, these anomalies are capable of containing celestial bodies and are the only locations where crashed Sentinel Interceptors might spawn.

For the best possibility of finding a crashed interceptor, follow these steps:
  • Target a Dissonant System: Open the Galaxy map and target yourself a Dissonant System; go there.
  • Scan for Planets: Upon arrival, press the C key to scan the system's planets. Be on the lookout for purple, which indicates Corrupted Sentinels just like usual.
  • Ground Combat: Descend onto a Corrupted Sentinel-infested planet and fight waves of those corrupted machines. Keep fighting wave after wave of their escalating, ever-increasing difficulty until you come face-to-face with the final one. The reward for success in this final battle is very notable indeed: the Echo Locator. It is this device that shall prove crucial for the next step along your journey.
  • Harmonic Camp Discovery: Use the Echo Locator to uncover a local Harmonic Camp. These mysterious constructions will turn out to be the keys opening your way to the crashed interceptor.
  • Interceptor Localization: Get inside the Harmonic Camp and, at the terminal, select "Locate Dissonant Spikes." This will tag the location of the Sentinel Interceptor's remains.

Another path is a dangerous route through space for the more adventurous seeker, which will bring up an Echo Locator. Defeat continuously Sentinel spacecraft, and you will have eventually enraged a massive Sentinel Dreadnaught. Defeat this fearsome foe, and you will receive an Echo Locator to follow on as described above. Note, however, that this route is significantly more challenging and time-consuming with the need to defeat such a powerful opponent.

Remember, Sentinel Interceptors only spawn on planetary surfaces within Dissonant Systems. They will never spawn inside the heart of space stations.

Repair a Sentinel Interceptor

While finding a downed Sentinel Interceptor is quite an exciting thing, be sure it will take some time and resources before you can take to the skies in command style. Fortunately for you, repairing such ships in comparison with other spacecraft is pretty simple.

This will return the Sentinel Interceptor to flight-ready condition, provided you have the following components in your inventory: Radiant Shards, an Inverted Mirror, and a Harmonic Brain. Let's break down how to get each.

Most attainable of the three will be the Radiant Shards. These crystalline fragments can be farmed from large purple formations spread across Corrupted Sentinel planets. Turning on the Analysis Visor (F) will greatly help in finding the planets and their corresponding crystal deposits.

Getting an Inverted Mirror takes a little more action. These items drop from the Dissonance Resonators, imposing quadrupedal machines that roam Corrupted Sentinel planets. This is where the Analysis Visor is most useful in tracking down these mechanical adversaries, just like when searching for Radiant Shards.

Getting a Harmonic Brain requires a bit more legwork. Every killed Sentinel Interceptor has a Hyaline Brain. This organic component will pinpoint a Monolith nearby on your map. Make your way to the Monolith and you will be able to turn in the Hyaline Brain for the Harmonic Brain needed.

Probably one of the biggest benefits to repairing a Sentinel Interceptor is that there is no inner space junk. Most other ships, if destroyed in such a manner, do not have parts that are broken, and thus, once you've collected materials, you can launch right away.

With all three parts in your possession, you will be flying high in your reborn Sentinel Interceptor.

Use player coordinates

In contrast to other ships in No Man's Sky, Sentinel Interceptors cannot be constructed from space stations. That makes them look really special. While the ships the player constructs can have their appearance tailored down to the last pixel, the look of Interceptors is totally dependent on the planet they crash on.

This planetary influence comes to mean that all Interceptors spotted on a particular world will feature some similar visual style. For those who want to get a ship that looks really good, this can become a pretty pesky limit. At any rate, a community of enthusiasts has popped up to help with this task.

Communities in forums like Reddit's No Man's Sky Coordinate Exchange have since become a trove of visuals on beautiful Interceptors for players to hunt. Users selflessly share coordinates to planets with breathtaking landscapes, highly-valued resources, and important for our purposes stunning crashed ships. Input the coordinates into a Portal, and the player will instantly teleport to these far-flung worlds, ready to start searching.

The thing to keep in mind is that the ability to get access to the Portal network is kind of a late-game feature. Once it is available, though, the players can take advantage of this interstellar teleportation system to very easily move around this huge universe and pick up those Interceptors that particularly stand out from their cosmic peers.

So we come to the end of this explanatory guide, now you know How to get a Sentinel Interceptor ship in No Man’s Sky, just do it and enjoy it to the fullest.
