How to get Radiant Shards in No Man's Sky

Dissonant worlds, or planets with Aggressive Sentinel Activity and The Corruption, are where players can locate Radiant Shards in No Man's Sky. The harsh weather and purple hues of these worlds are what set them apart. Most importantly, they are teeming with monsters that will immediately attack the player if they see them.

Radiant Shards can only be mined with Multitools that have the A-Grade Mod Advanced Mining Laser installed, or above. Keep in mind that in order for mods to be deemed active, they must be grouped together other mods of the same type.

Radiant Shard cumulus are not easy to find. Their pinkish light and the activity around them make them visible from a distance. Similar to Storm Crystals, these structures tend to appear on planets that experience severe weather. However, for the Sentinels on that planet to be corrupted, it is necessary to do so.

In order to get Radiant Shards, players need to dig until they can use their lasers to break the formations. By doing so, you'll notify all nearby Corrupted Life Force or Sentinels, and a message will appear on the screen reading: "The Swarm Is Searching." To find out where the players took the Radiant Shards, the corrupted Sentinel troops are dispatching scouts.

By fending off these foes, players can gain access to valuable materials like Atlantideum. They also have the option of evading them by changing their location or utilizing their Cloaking Devices. Like other valuable resources like Gravitino Balls, each crystal formation can only produce a single Radiant Shard. When players extract Gravitino Balls, it also notifies Sentinels.
