How to Get Frost Crystal in No Man's Sky?
Frost Crystal deposits can be found on either frozen or low-temperature planets, and to do this, one must fly the starship toward a planet, then turn on the scanner on. Scan through terms in the description that might scream low temperatures, such as Hyperborean Planet, Frozen Planet, Freezing Planet, among others, until Frost Crystal is underlined as one of the many available resources.
Arrive on the planet and turn on the Analysis Visor to find the Frostwort plant. Frostwort looks like a tall root with a shining crystal on top, and usually grows in groups in a single spot. To collect Frozen Crystal, you need the Haz-Mat Gauntlet. Once you have it, interact with Frostwort to collect Frost Crystal. Mine Dioxite, too, as you'll need it to farm and craft more Frost Crystal.
Once you've uncovered the Frost Crystal, simply navigate to the Catalogue & Guide tab in the menu to find planets that host this precious resource.

Farming Frost Crystal is the same as farming any other plant, except you have one little catch-you need the Frost Crystal to begin. Once you've acquired Frost Crystal, head to a Hydroponic Tray or a Bio-Dome that you just built. Look for Frostwort in the Advanced Technology tab of the build menu and proceed to plant (requires 50 Frost Crystal and 25 Dioxite).
If you're on an ice planet, you can simply plant the Frostwort in the ground. It takes about an hour of real-time to grow, so feel free to walk away and come back later to check on it.
To access the Frostwort structure, you'll need to progress the Farmer's Agricultural Research mission.

You can also craft Frost Crystal in No Man's Sky using the Refiner. There are several recipes to make it, all of which require Dioxite. You can find this on frozen planets or purchase it from the Galactic Trade Terminal.
