Although the presentation is impeccable, players may encounter some technical problems. If you can't use your controller with Nightmare Kart, here's what you should do.
How to Fix Nightmare Kart Controller?
Nightmare Kart has native support for Xbox controllers, but if you want to play with a PlayStation controller like Dual Shock 4 or Dualsense, you must enable Steam Input. Follow the steps below to ensure Steam Input is active for Nightmare Kart.
- Go to Steam and browse your library.
- Right click on Nightmare Kart and then click "Properties."
- Here, under the Controller tab, make sure the Enable Steam Input drop-down menu is selected.
All you have to do is that. You can completely disable Steam input on Xbox controllers. Several users, including myself, were unable to get the PlayStation controller to work properly with the game, causing the controls to become unresponsive. However, Lilith Walther made an update to the game to make sure Steam Input worked properly. Now you won't have any problems connecting any non-Xbox controller.
Nightmare Kart displays information about Xbox and PlayStation controllers. While in a race, you can change them on the button binding screen. You can also rewire the controls to your liking, which is always handy. Although I prefer to play with a controller, Nightmare Kart also works well with a keyboard. If you are still having controller issues while playing Nightmare Kart, be sure to restart Steam to make sure the update has been applied. You can also try the following. Nightmare Kart is the best option, although a Bloodborne Remaster or Remake is not possible yet. It's full of love for the source material and it's a wonderful moment.
Finally, now that we have what it takes to fix the Nightmare Kart controller, we will only have to do it to try to return to our fun and progress in this fast-paced game.
