Soulmask has a huge map full of mystery and intrigue, and unlike most games, exploring new areas is not automatically unlocked on your map. The fog of war clearing mechanic will actually be explained if you play until the end of the tutorial (playing the open world game in a highly selected and dictated order). Let's be honest though: no one finishes a tutorial in Survival Games. Read on to find out how to release the fog of war in Soulmask and discover new parts of the map.
By default, when you start the game, it will only show the southwest of the map. No more parts will be revealed, no matter how much you explore. You must find and deter barbarian scouts to clear the fog of war in Soulmask. Even if your camp is in an area currently covered by fog of war, scouts appear at specific locations that will be marked on your map. As soon as you are ready to start exploring, you must deter the northern rainforest explorer and the western rainforest explorer.
To discourage any of the Scouts, you must first reduce their health by still around thirty percent. When they are low enough, you will see a message that says Press E to deter. Following the instructions, your character will catch Scout and absorb knowledge from him, revealing the part of the map that Scout is responsible for. Make sure you don't accidentally kill the Scout while taking him down; If you kill him, no fog of war will be revealed. The Western Jungle Explorers Location
Because this camp only has two Barbarian Scouts and one Bush Scout, all at levels 10 to 15, I recommend starting with the Western Jungle Scout. In the center of the initial part of the map, the camp is directly west of the three great lakes.
Location of the explorers in the north of the rainforest
Because you'll have to go around the huge lake that runs through the northern part of the map, this Scout is a little harder to reach. There are only three enemies: the scout, a barbarian, and a bush dog, like in the western scout camp. However, the enemies in this camp are between levels 15 and 20, so you'll definitely want to make sure you've leveled up a bit before attempting this. Bringing a tribe member to this camp is a good idea; just make sure you set it to Support instead of Active. Otherwise, your tribe member will probably freeze the Scout when the opportunity arises.
