Noctis' Engine Blade is one of the most recognizable weapons from Final Fantasy 15, and it makes an appearance during your first playthrough of NieR: Automata. Learn where to find it and get the necessary information about its stats.

How To Get The Engine Blade in NieR Automata?

The Engine Blade is in the factory, but it won't be available to you when you go through the game's introductory sequence. You'll have to wait until you come back later as 2B, after which you can do it at any time. Of course, players can use Chapter Select mode to jump straight to Chapter 9 when they return as 2B and do it in a few minutes. To start, fast travel to the Factory: Hanger access point, which is in the factory.

As you leave the room with the access point in it, head right and you'll find yourself in a 2D camera view. You start off running past a fenced-off area, then up some worn stairs and onto a conveyor belt of boxes. Watch out for the incoming conveyor belt; the presses will kill you instantly should you be under one when it comes down. Hop over this belt to reach the next cylinder, where, upon your arrival, two spider-like creatures will drop down to greet you.

Head through the left-hand door as you enter, and prepare to continue upward in a staircase while receiving a cascade of explosive baddies coming down toward you. At the middle you'll find a portion with no railing and the platform will extend toward the camera. Move in closer to the camera to change the angle, and you'll be thrown into another 2D platforming section. Leap across the tops of the presses, following the path to the left until you reach a final room with three chests. To the left is one containing the highly sought-after Engine Blade, while to the right is a locked chest, for an added degree of intrigue.

Get ready for a swarm of exploding enemies to fall from the ceiling once you get near the chest.

  • Engine Blade Basic Stats in NieR: Automata Attack: 160-200
  • Combination: Lt 5 Hv 3

This weapon has four levels of upgrades, culminating in a brilliant light combo of 7 attacks. You'll have to find Masamune if you want these upgrades. It has a relatively low damage spread compared to the Iron Pipe, so it's a better choice for players who want a more accurate approximation of their potential damage output.

In this sense, knowing How To Get The Engine Blade in NieR Automata, allows you to embark on the search for this artifact and thus use it to gain an advantage in this game, try it.
