Games always offer us enemies to defeat and that's why today we explain How To Defeat The Lifer in Wuthering Waves.
Wuthering Waves version 2.0 brings in the Rinascita region, packed with new Tacet Discords to discover. One of these is the Chop Chop — a fanciful floating eyeball in a top hat with two hovering hands that recalls images from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Of the many different types of Chop Chops that populate Rinascita, one variety among them stands out as particularly hard: the Lifer.
Find the Lifer resting in the heart of the maze in Oakheart Highcourt in the magical Fagaceae Peninsula. This impressive Chop Chop has a number of improvements that greatly improve its HP while still allowing it to deal out great damage too. This walkthrough will show players an easy method of removing much of the Lifer buffs in Wuthering Waves, making the fight far easier.
How To Defeat The Lifer in Wuthering Waves?
Finding the Lifer
The Lifer is in the centre of the Oakheart Highcourt maze, right underneath the big roots of the tree. Not all the ways to the Lifer are accessible from the start. Per default, there is one at the southwest end, in the same direction as the Resonance Beacon near Oakheart Highcourt. Players can climb over the walls from the direction of the beacon or fly over the maze using the Flight feature.
The Lifer Board Game
Inside, players will find the Lifer standing next to a large board game featuring six different game pieces. The goal of this game is to be the first to attain three in a row. The players use the black pieces, while the Lifer uses the white ones. The board game ingeniously changes the walls of the Oakheart Highcourt maze depending on where the player's black pieces are located. Every time a black piece is placed on the outer circle of the board, all the walls and gates in that direction will swing open. This allows players to come and go from a session of playing a board game at will, knowing that the state of the pieces is saved.
While players can directly fight the Lifer, utilizing the board game removes the buffs on him. Players will, of course, want to avoid winning the board game until the buffs are off him because doing so starts his immediate attack.
How to Remove the Buffs on the Lifer
He has seven potent buffs and can only be taken down by an invested team that has coordinated well to take him down. You can get rid of four with the Stake of Imbalance, but the remaining three are permanent. These will always be visible via the glowing yellow module placed directly behind the Lifer.
Removable Buffs (Fragility):
- Lonely Rising: Lifer regenerates 10% of its maximum health every second if being in the combat state for more than 2 seconds. Additionally, the base ATK of the Lifer will be increased by 25%. Further, every 20 seconds, it increases the damage dealt by the Lifer by another 25%.
- Imminent Deadlock: Raises the Lifer's ATK by 20% for each DMG taken, up to a maximum of 4 stacks. If the Lifer does not hit anyone for 6 seconds, all stacks will be reset.
- Disintegration of Time: The Lifer gets an astounding 200% Glacio, Fusion, Electro, Aero, Spectro, and Havoc Resistance. Maximum HP increased by 25%.
Stabilization Actives
- Chains of Confinement: Unable to interrupt Lifer when his HP is higher than 50%.
- Endless Game: Lifer's Immobilization state duration is reduced by 50%.
- Divine Garden: Once the damage that exceeds 25% of Max HP is taken in a single hit, Lifer knocks all enemies within range backward and inflicts damage on them.
The Stake of Imbalance items can easily be located with the use of the Sensor utility tool near the Lifer as it will reveal four purple lines showing where exactly the items are. These paths will lead you through to four separate rooms, all along the outside of the maze. Players access each of these rooms by skillfully turning the game board-what is meant here is using black pieces which can redirect the flow to rooms so that necessary walls and gates can open up.
These pieces will stay in their positions once removed from the game board, so players can tackle each room individually, one step at a time.
As you go through the gate, follow the path down to the room at the far end, wherein there is a grand winged statue. In two of the rooms, the player must defeat the Tacet Discords; one of the rooms requires a player to smash the Friable Rocks. The last Stake of Imbalance is sitting on a table. All the many Stakes of Imbalance shine with a special white brilliance, making them very easy to find and fetch.
Once you have a Stake of Imbalance, insert it into the module in front of the respective statue to remove that buff from the Lifer. When a buff is removed, the purple line will turn to yellow when viewed through the Sensor.
Lifer Boss
With all buffs removed, players can now fight the Lifer with a much easier battle. It's an option to either win in the board game or choose "Fight it out!" at the chair to initiate the fight. The Lifer, without its four removable buffs, is only slightly stronger than a normal wild Chop Chop. Without any of the upgrades fitted to it, options punch, grab, or spin aren't particularly serious in threat or good in damage with the Lifer.
Defeat the Lifer for the first time and obtain a Premium Supply Chest. Make it a second, and be sure to add one more Premium Supply Chest, together with three Basic Supply Chests to arm your collection. For a third and last win, one Advanced Supply Chest and three Standard Supply Chests are given as rewards.
Players can activate the buffs again by interacting with the same four modules, which makes the fight even more challenging. There are no achievements, however, for defeating the Lifer with all buffs turned on.
Lifetime Achievements
In addition to the chests, players can earn four achievements related to the Lifer and its interactive board game.
- Defeat the Lifer at Oakheart Highcourt for your salvation.
- The Ring of The Lifer: Claim the treasures guarded by the Lifer
- Defeat him three times for all nine chests
- Defeat the Lifer and win the game at Oakheart Highcourt.
- Alpha Go: Lose to the Lifer 10 times in the game at Oakheart Highcourt.
Players who are struggling against the Lifer in the board game should focus their efforts on blocking the Lifer from successfully drawing a line. Eventually, the Lifer will become frustrated and make an obvious mistake; it is then that the player can capitalize on this.
This is all you need to know about How To Defeat The Lifer in Wuthering Waves, follow this guide step by step and that's it.
