Monster Train 2: How to Unlock Old Clans

1. Unlock Six Pyre Hearts:

The foundational step to unlocking the legacy clans in Monster Train 2 is to first acquire six Pyre Hearts. For clarification, Pyre Hearts are crucial elements that dictate the statistics and abilities of the pyre, which resides at the top of your train. There are a total of 13 Pyre Hearts available in the game.Each Pyre Heart has its own unique unlock requirement. These requirements can vary significantly, ranging from winning battles under specific "trial" conditions to successfully completing a Dimensional Challenge, among other diverse objectives. To monitor your progress and identify the unlock criteria for each Pyre Heart, follow these simple steps:

• Initiate a new run by clicking "Depart."
• On the left side of the screen, locate and click on the "Pyre Heart selection" option, situated directly beneath the "Allied Clan selection."
• Hover your cursor over any locked Pyre Hearts to reveal their specific unlock requirements.

While Pyre Hearts are naturally unlocked through regular gameplay, players can accelerate this process by focusing on low Covenant Ranks and actively prioritizing the fulfillment of unlock conditions. It's worth noting that the majority of Pyre Hearts can be acquired without needing to win runs or venture into higher difficulty tiers. Upon unlocking your sixth Pyre Heart, the Hellhorned clan will immediately become accessible.

2. Unlock Awoken, Stygian Guard, Umbra, and Melting Remnant:

Once you've unlocked six Pyre Heartsand, consequently, the Hellhorned clan, you'll need to meet specific,individual requirements to unlock the remaining legacy clans.Importantly, fulfilling these conditions does not necessitate winningruns. The requirements are as follows:

• Awoken: To unlock the Awoken, you must heal 300 lost health. This task is most efficiently accomplished by playing with the LuanCoven. The Wyngh's Spirit Pyre Heart can also provide significantassistance in this endeavor.
• Stygian Guard: Unlocking the Stygian Guard requires you to cast five spells in a single turn, five times. The Luna Coven's Moon Ritual and Witchweave spells are particularlyeffective for meeting this requirement due to their low cost and ability to generate multiple spells.
• Umbra: To gain access to the Umbra clan, you need to increase room capacity 20 times. The most straightforward method for this is by consistently selecting"Heaven's Light" rewards after defeating bosses. Additionally, theBogwurm's Growth Pyre Heart can offer a helpful boost towards this goal.
• Melting Remnant: The Melting Remnant clan is unlocked by successfully reanimating or reforming 50 units. Players who choose to play with the Lazarus League should find thisrequirement relatively easy to fulfill, given their thematic focus onunit manipulation and reanimation.
