Minecraft's Java Snapshot 25w06a introduced three new chicken variants, adding even more variety to the game's farm animals. This guide details where to find each chicken type and how to breed them.

Minecraft : Find All 3 Chicken Variants

Chicken Variants:

Warm Chicken: This chicken has distinctive yellow and orange feathers, blending in well with warmer environments.

Biomes: Badlands, Bamboo Jungle, Eroded Badlands, Jungle, Savanna, Savanna Plateau, Sparse Jungle, Windswept Savanna, Wooded Badlands.

Cold Chicken: As the name suggests, the Cold Chicken sports blue feathers and can only be found in cold biomes.

Biomes: Old Growth Pine Taiga, Old Growth Spruce Taiga, Snowy Taiga, Taiga,Windswept Forest, Windswept Gravelly Hills, Windswept Hills.

Temperate Chicken: This is the classic chicken we all know and love! Now renamed Temperate Chicken, it appears in all biomes that are not considered warm or cold.

Taming Chickens:

While you can't traditionally "tame" chickens like you would a dog or cat,you can easily corral them. Carrying seeds will cause chickens to follow you. Use this to lead them into a fenced area. Repeat until you havethe desired number of chickens.

Important Note: Be mindful of the distance you travel while leading chickens,especially in Survival mode. Set up temporary pens or checkpoints ifyou need to travel far to avoid losing your flock to hostile mobs.

Breeding Chickens:

Once you have a collection of chickens, breeding them is simple:

Same Type: Feed seeds to two chickens of the same type (e.g., two Warm Chickens). They will enter love mode and produce an egg. This egg will hatch into a chicken of the same variant.
Different Types: If you breed two different chicken variants (e.g., a Warm Chicken and a Cold Chicken), the resulting egg will hatch a chicken of a random variant. This is a good way to try and get all the types if you haven't found them all in the wild yet.

Tips for Collecting All Chicken Variants:

Explore Diverse Biomes: To find all three types, you'll need to explore a variety of biomes, both warm and cold.
Use Checkpoints: If you're in Survival mode, set up temporary pens along the way while leading chickens back to your base.
Start a Chicken Farm: Once you have at least two of each variant, start breeding them to build up a larger flock.
Experiment with Breeding: Try breeding different combinations of chickens to see what variantsyou can get. This is fun and will get you closer to having everyvariant.
