Guide on how to get mending in Minecraft

The restorative enchantment is incredibly useful throughout the game. Use experience points to repair your weapons, tools, and armor that have mending enchantment applied.

But, you need a repair book to enchant your kit. Here is everything you need to know about getting repair in Minecraft 1.14.

How to get mending in Minecraft?

If you want to have the repairing spell, for this it is obvious that you need a book of charms and how to get it? through a librarian. An easy way to find such a librarian is by making one (strange as that sounds). To get started, you will need a regular villager and a lectern (which you can create with 4 wooden slabs and a bookshelf).

Finding villagers is super simple; you just have to look a little until you find a town. You choose any villager and isolate him to do his job.

And why do that? Oddly enough, this is due to the fact that the other villagers will compete for this new title and for some reason only one will be victorious.

You can isolate your chosen villager using rails and a mine cart, or the quickest alternative to quickly building a boat and having one of them stand on it, before transporting it to a remote location.

When you have your librarian, you can click on them to see what actions they have to trade. But this does not guarantee that you will get this spell first hand.

You can keep placing and removing the lectern to reassign the villager to the librarian, which will randomize the stock until mending book locks!
