How To Change the Language in Mecha BREAK

Mecha BREAK has generally impressed PC players with its solid performance and customizable settings since its launch on July 2, 2025. However, one minor but significant annoyance has been reported by users: the game's default language settings. Many players have found the game launching in an unintended language, often Simplified Chinese, regardless of their Windows or Steam language preferences.Fortunately, changing the language in Mecha BREAK is a straightforward process, both from the game client before launching the game itself, and within the in-game settings.1

Change the Language in Mecha BREAK

There are two main ways to adjust the language settings in Mecha BREAK:

1. From the Game Client (Recommended for Initial Setup):

This method is ideal if the game launches in an unintelligible language from the very beginning, as it allows you to set your preferred language before even entering the game proper.

Launch Mecha BREAK Client: Start the Mecha BREAK application as you normally would (e.g., through Steam or your desktop shortcut). This will bring you to the game's initial client launcher, where you typically see a "Start Game" button.

Access Settings Icon: Instead of clicking "Start Game," locate and click on the settings icon (often a gear or cogwheel symbol) which is usually situated next to the "Start Game" button.

Select "Language Settings" Tab: Within the settings menu that appears, navigate to the "Language Settings" tab.

Choose Desired Languages: You will find two drop-down menus: one for Text Language and another for Voice Language.

• Click on each drop-down and select your desired language for both text and voice.

Save and Start Game: After selecting your languages, save the changes (if a save button is present) and then proceed to hit "Start Game." The game should now launch in your chosen language.

2. From In-Game Settings:

If you've already launched the game or need to change languages mid-session, you can do so from within the game itself.

Pause the Game: During gameplay, pause the game to access the in-game menus.

Open Settings Menu: Navigate to the main settings menu from the pause screen.

Navigate to "Language" Tab: Look for a "Language" tab or section within the settings.

Select Preferred Language: From the options provided, choose your preferred language for both text and voice.

Supported Languages in Mecha BREAK

Mecha BREAK boasts a respectable list of supported text languages, which extends to the entire user interface, contributing to its Steam Deck verification. However, the number of voiced language options is more limited.Here's the current list of supported languages on PC:

While the comprehensive text language support is a welcome feature, the relatively small number of voiced options (English, Chinese, and Japanese) might be a point of disappointment for some players, especially given the high production value of other aspects of the game. Nonetheless, the decent variety of subtitles ensures that players can experience the game in their preferred language, even if the voice acting isn't available in that specific tongue. Developers may consider adding more voiced languages in future updates.
