How to unlock free Marvel Rivals summer skin

Marvel Rivals is celebrating the summer with a second wave of themed cosmetics. This new collection introduces fresh outfits for five different characters, with a standout free skin for The Thing. Players who already have his "Sunshine Thing" outfit from the first summer event can now add another stylish look to their collection without spending any Lattice. The "Rocky Tide" costume is part of a new Event Pass, and it's completely free to unlock for any player willing to put in the time.

Marvel Rivals: unlock free summer skin

The "Rocky Tide" skin for The Thing is not a paid cosmetic. It is a reward on the free track of the new Summer Special Vol. 2 Event Pass. While there is a premium track with more rewards that can be purchased with Lattice, the free track contains a number of valuable items, including a free costume.To get the free "Rocky Tide" skin, you must reach Level 14 in the Event Pass. The only way to level up the pass is by playing matches to earn XP. There is no daily cap on the amount of XP you can earn, so you can grind through the pass as quickly as you like. As you progress, you'll not only unlock the costume but also other matching accessories like a nameplate and a spray.

The Summer Special Vol. 2 Event Pass features 21 rewards, with 13 of them being on the free track. Here is a full list of all the rewards you can earn, with the free rewards bolded:

This limited-time event will be active for a couple of weeks, so be sure toplay enough matches to earn all of the free cosmetics, especially the"Rocky Tide" costume for The Thing. After the event concludes,players can look forward to the possibility of a Halloween event,bringing a new set of festive cosmetics to the game.
