An integral part of Lies of P universe is the character Alidoro the Treasure Hunter. Everyone playing Lies of P needs to enlist this character so they can trade Rare Ergo for powerful weapons and amulets. Alidoro won't appear in-game until Chapter 4, so you'll have to hold on to that Rare Ergo for a while. We'll go over his location, his role as an NPC merchant, and the conclusion of his questline.
You can simply level up and achieve Alidoro that way. Keep going till you reach the Saint Frangelico Cathedral by discovering new regions and defeating new bosses. When you arrive:
The elevator that goes to Alidoro is this one. Ascending this elevator will allow you to observe Alidoro conversing with himself, accompanied by subtitles. Following a short chat, Alidoro will inquire as to whether Pinocchio knows of any safe places for him to stay; Pinocchio will be given the choice between staying at Venigni Works or Hotel Krat. Although Alidoro will ultimately stay at Hotel Krat, which is the better option, either one will do (in the long run).
If you're in the mood to be dishonest and want to trick Alidoro, you can accomplish so in your first interaction with him by sending him to Venigni Works. Of all, St. Frangelico's Cathedral isn't exactly a fortress, but Pinocchio did visit there immediately after rescuing the puppets from Venigni Works, so it's still 'technically' safe.
If you go with this option, you'll have to beat the Archbishop before Alidoro shows up at the Workshop, so you'll have to make some headway. Then, you'll need to visit the Workshop Union Entrance Stargazer before you encounter Alidoro again. Here, in the room to Pinocchio's left, right beyond the Stargazer and up the stairs, you'll find Alidoro waiting.
Once again, you have the option to mislead Alidoro into going to Elysion Boulevard, but it appears that this elderly dog has become alert to Pinocchio's ploys and will proceed straight to the Krat Hotel. Picking Venigni Works adds a little more backstory to the conversation, another fib to the counter, and a little more effort to make Alidoro a permanently available NPC merchant.

Methods for Trading Alidoro for Rare Ergo
After you've dealt with Alidoro at the Krat Hotel, you'll be able to access their Boss Weapon store. Simply bring these Rare Ergo to Alidoro and swap them for one of two options to employ them in Lies of P.
In exchange for a Rare Ergo, Alidoro will take a particular amulet and weapon. To get the most out of your Capacity, save the unique weapons for your first playthrough and save the Amulets for your second. This is because a lot of these boss Amulets are heavy.
Another alternative is to sell or use the Rare Ergo to acquire a large amount of Ergo all at once if you don't care about either of Alidoro's Rare Ergo options (or if they already have the weapon/Amulet and are on NG+2). Even though it's the poorest of the three choices, this is your only true choice after you get the sword and the amulet.
After Alidoro departs the Krat Hotel, where can one find him?
Alidoro will depart the Hotel Krat and embark on his side quest simultaneously with Eugenie's after a specific point in the story has been reached. Specifically, after you've beaten Champion Victor, you can speak with Eugenie and ask her to give Alidoro a pair of her custom gloves.
You won't find Alidoro in the hotel anymore. Alternatively, you can find him at the Barren Swamp Entrance Stargazer, which is located near the entrance to the swamps. Return to Eugenie after speaking with him and offering to give him the gloves; you'll be shocked by his terrible reaction. You have the option to tell Eugenie the truth or tell her a falsehood regarding Alidoro's remark, but this time, be careful because the deception could have serious consequences.
After defeating the Black Rabbit Brotherhood twice, you will not meet Alidoro again until about Chapter 10. Alidoro, who is attempting to justify his collaboration with the Alchemists, is located near the submarine that will transport them to Alchemist Isle. After hearing Alidoro's background, you will be able to chose to either kill or spare him at this point. Curiously, the 'Spare' option yields no benefits and basically doesn't resolve anything, but the Kill option culminates in obtaining Alidoro's Cryptic Vessel and completing Eugenie's side mission.
