The Storm King will not appear on the map until players have made adequate progress through the other quests introduced in the Storm Chasers update. Players can unlock these unique quests by engaging in dialogue with Kayden. Once the conversations are complete, they will be provided with the location of the Storm Chaser base camp on the world map. Upon arriving at the base camp, players are required to seek out a storm, identifiable by the purple glowing vortices scattered across various locations on the map, to advance the quest line that ultimately culminates in a showdown with the Storm King.
The last two challenges in the Storm Chaser base camp series require you to take down Raven and energize the Tempest Gateway. Once you've triumphed over several Storm Crawlers and aided the Storm Chasers in their progress, Raven's hideout will become visible on the map following your conversation with Carl. The battle unfolds as you skillfully evade Raven’s explosive dynamite while defending against his close-range strikes with a shield. You unleash a barrage of crossbow bolts until he is ultimately defeated.
To activate the Tempest Gateway, players must collect a minimum of 10 Eye of the Storm items. These can be acquired by defeating Raven and enhancing the Storm Chaser base camp, or by venturing into Storm Dungeons scattered across the realm.
The Storm King unleashes a relentless barrage of minions while employing amix of ranged and melee attacks to challenge his foes. As the StormKing’s mouth starts to radiate a bright glow, it signals the imminentlaunch of a powerful laser. Players must stay alert and swiftly maneuver to the left or right to evade the attack. The Storm King has the powerto summon meteors and hurl rocks at players. However, if you stay alert, you can predict the paths of these incoming projectiles.
