How to complete Daphne’s found quest in Fortnite Chapter 6, season 4

Spooky chaos may have completely overtaken the island in Fortnite, but thankfully, the classic crime-solving crew, Mystery Inc., has arrived to clear up the confusion. While they are busy tackling the island's cryptids, one member needs your help with a personal (and profitable) problem: Daphne Blake's luggage has been stolen!Unlocking and completing this hidden mission, often dubbed Daphne’s Secret Quest, is well worth the effort, rewarding players with a substantial 10,000 XP boost. However, like any good mystery, the game provides minimal guidance, making a quick guide essential. Here’s a breakdown of how to solve Daphne’s disappearance and interrogate the thief in Fortnitemares.

Fortnite : How to complete Daphne’s found quest

Step 1: Activate the Quest at Viney Shafts

Before you can start chasing down a crook, you need to officially start the assignment.To unlock this hidden quest, you must locate Daphne, who is currently chilling at the Viney Shafts landmark. Once you find the stylish detective, simply interact with her and select the “Need help?” dialogue option.Daphne will explain the sticky situation—her essential mystery-solving luggage has been swiped. Be warned: once the mission is activated, you are on the clock! You only have a tight four-minute window to complete both parts of the quest, so speed is of the essence.

Step 2: Track Down Daphne's Missing Luggage

Daphne’s instincts are usually spot-on, and in this case, the thief hasn't gone far.

The culprit responsible for the luggage theft is The Mothman. To find the stolen bags, you must head to a cliff area located slightly southwest of Viney Shafts. While the location isn't a long trek from where Daphne is standing, you will need to climb up a large mountain to reach the thief’s hideout.

Once you reach the top of the cliff, you will spot a small camp set up withtents and RVs. Look around the end of the cliff for a stack of black bags. Simply walking up to and engaging with these bags will complete the first part of the quest: Find Daphne's luggage in Fortnite.

Step 3: Interrogate The Mothman

With the luggage located, it’s time to find out why the bags were stolen.

The Mothman NPC will be standing close to the edge of the cliff near the stolen luggage. Approach him and choose the prompt to interrogate the thief.

Upon interaction, The Mothman will reveal the surprisingly sympatheticreason for the theft: he wanted to use Daphne's gear to become adetective and join the legendary Mystery Inc. team himself!

Assoon as this conversation is complete, the quest is automatically marked as finished. No need to report back to Daphne—you’ve recovered hergear, uncovered the motive, and secured a cool 10,000 XP reward! This two-part mission is one of the quickest ways to level up your Battle Pass during the spooky Fortnitemares event. Get out there and show that you're the best detective on the island!
