How to use a Torch in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

Nights in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 are realistically dark, requiring the use of torches to navigate the Bohemian wilderness. This guide explains how to equip and use torches, a slightly different process than in the first game.

Equipping a Torch:

Before you can use a torch, you must equip it in your inventory.

Open Inventory: Open your inventory menu.

Navigate to Other Weapons: Go to the "Other Weapons" section of your inventory.

Equip the Torch:

• Method 1 (Keyboard): Click on the Torch, then press "E" (or double-click the torch) to equip it.
• Method 2 (Controller): Drag the Torch to the designated torch slot on the right side of the inventory screen, near the model of Henry, below the armor and shoe slots.

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2: How to use a Torch

Once equipped, you can toggle the torch on and off.

• Keyboard: Press the "R" key.
• Controller: Hold down the down button on the D-pad.

Acquiring a Torch:

If you don't have a torch, there are several ways to obtain one:

Purchasing from Traders: Torches can be purchased from most traders, including the one in the starting village of Troskowitz.

Looting from Enemies and NPCs: Many enemies, bandits, and even regular NPCs carry torches.Pickpocketing is a viable, though risky, method to acquire one.Pickpocketing also conveniently increases your Thievery skill.

Finding Torches in the World: Torches can sometimes be found lying around villages and buildings, but this is less reliable than buying or looting them.

Finding Bandits (for looting torches):

Bandits, a common source of torches, can be found in several ways:

• Roads and Forests: Venture outside of settlements and villages along roads and into forested areas.
• Fast Travel Events: Fast travel events often trigger bandit encounters. When a fast travel event appears, choose not to flee when prompted.

Torch Durability:

Torches in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 do not degrade with use like weapons and armor. They maintain a 100% condition rating. Unless you lose oraccidentally sell your torch, one should last the entire game. However, if you do lose your torch, replacements are readily available.
