How To Romance Klara in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
Klara, the skilled herbswoman and healer of Nebakov Fortress, is one of the first romanceable characters players will encounter in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. While the path to her heart isn't always obvious, this guide will walk you through the steps needed to woo the tender of wounds and earn her affection.
Your first opportunity to meet Klara arises during the "Back in the Saddle" quest. Henry and Hans Capon travel from Trosky castle to Nebakov Fortress for a parley with a local lord. It's easy to miss Klara entirely, as there are no initial quest markers or objectives pointing towards her. You'll first hear of her through a seemingly unrelated activity: a friendly duel.
After arriving at Nebakov Fortress, you'll be instructed to occupy yourself while Sir Hans Capon conducts his meeting. Follow your guide, Adjutant Michael, and eventually, they will sit down for negotiations. At the end of their conversation, Michael will propose a friendly duel with Henry, ostensibly for the honor of their respective lords. This duel is the key to meeting Klara.
Accept Michael's challenge. Don't worry about winning; in fact, it's expected that Henry takes a bit of a beating. Losing this duel is crucial for the next step. After the fight, Michael will suggest that Henry seek Klara's healing skills.
Klara's hut is located down the slope from the fighting area, past the smithy. Because she likely witnessed the duel, she'll need a short time (around 20 seconds) to return to her hut, so be patient if she isn't there immediately. Talk to her, and regardless of your dialogue choices, she will tend to your wounds. This is where the romance begins.
After healing Henry, Klara will invite him to accompany her on a walk to gather herbs. Choose the "I can't say no to a comely maid" dialogue option to accept her invitation and set the romantic subplot in motion.
Initially, simply follow Klara and engage in conversation, answering her questions about Henry's home. This will build rapport and lay the groundwork for the next step. Eventually, you'll reach a meadow. Speaking to Klara here will prompt her to ask for help gathering herbs. Agree by saying, "Sure, I'll be glad to help."
