While vehicles are fairly common throughout the island and players can obtain upgraded vehicles like the Ringmaster Lockjaw Skarra, players can also drive military buses.

The Army Bus is the vehicle that patrols the Fortnite Wrecked island and does not appear in the designated location. Army buses often travel with Mechanics and Megalo Dons in their vehicles throughout the map, displaying medallion icons on the map to make them easier to track. The Army Bus can also be found floating around the island while both bosses remain in their preferred locations (Redline Rig and Brutal Plazahead). However, in such cases, the icon indicating its location will not appear, making it difficult to track the military bus.

The player must drive around the map looking for obnoxiously loud metal/rock music that the henchmen will hear from inside the military bus. Once the player locates a military bus, they can capture it by destroying the three patrols occupying it. The best way to take control of this armored vehicle is to kill the driver first and then move on to the two patrolmen manning the vehicle's weapons. After doing this, the player will be able to get on the military bus and use it himself.

How to use military buses?

Although the military bus works like other vehicles in Fortnite, it has some unique properties. The first is a pair of special weapons placed at the front and back of the bus, each of which fires explosive bullets. Military buses are also equipped with EMPs that can be activated with the horn (aim button). This may disable other nearby vehicles, but will have a short cooldown before being used again. Like the three boss cars found on the map, the military bus cannot be modified, but instead has pre-made modifications. The War Bus modifications are as follows:

Spike Shield: Deals increased damage to players and objects on impact.
All-terrain tires: Provide more speed and control in off-road situations.
