Discover How to Find a Settlement in Fallout London with this excellent and explanatory guide.

That core aspect of the Fallout series is to have a base where one can store precious loot safely and seek refuge from the many ordeals across the wasteland. That aspect has not changed in Fallout London, but the challenge level has certainly gone out of the window. The game is not like Fallout 4, where it has really quite accessible settlements right from the beginning. In contrast, securing a foothold in post-apocalyptic London is much more difficult. Be it through complex side quests or challenging hurdles, players will have to work for their safe havens. This guide provides a pathway to three of the early-game settlements, giving the essential refuges to those exploring the dangerous landscape of London's ruined metropolis.

How to Find a Settlement in Fallout London

Construction Site

This location is farthest from the train crash at the beginning of the game and demands a significantly longer walk than the other alternatives. This one isn't keyed to completing a quest or succeeding at a skill check like most of the others. It's simply marked on your map. When you get here you'll want to be sure and click the Workstation to capture the point. Tread carefully in your approach as you'll often pass Hooligans near this location, and may have to make a strategic detour to avoid aggro. The reward for your troubles comes in the form of a large area of flat land on the western side of the map, which gives you the best possible platform on which to base your constructions.

Biggin Hill

This accessible early-game destination provides a most welcome reward and requires the overcoming of a slightly more challenging quest. Fast travel to Churchill Library, then head west toward the map marker. You'll find Gordo, a tree-bound yoga instructor who needs your help defending the settlement. After defeating some hostile Dryads in the area, you will be asked to investigate an underground bunker.

Activate the bunker's scanner using the terminal, then prepare to fight your way out. Fight your way through turrets and Dryads until you reach a sealed door. Hack this terminal for access, then get ready for an epic battle against the Legendary Glowing One. Apply some tactical strategies: kiting the creature into deep water will knock it out of its aggression. After killing this creature, go to the room with the Synapse Tree.

Bring the results back to Gordo. After a short wait, he'll give you your Head Druid title, which allows access to the really useful Biggin Hill Airport Workstation. This is a major progression in your quest.

London Bridge

One of the more interesting prospects to settle early in the game is London Bridge. The location is conveniently open, yet well guarded with a challenging skill check. It can only be claimed by convincing Beefy, a Beefeater gone toll bridge operator, to join one's cause. Doing this requires succeeding in Charisma and Intelligence checks, unless a player has either the Local Leader or Cannibal perk.

One of Beefy's offers is to kill his old boss and gut the influence of Beefeater thugs in the surrounding areas; in return, he will yield London Bridge. Now, on the player's map, the three leaders of the Beefeaters are marked as quest objectives. Defeat these enemies and return with proof to secure the settlement. He also remains a really good guard and companion.

Situated centrally, London Bridge holds a population of seven settlers, so it is in itself an ideal place for any community to start its growth from. It's a very advantageous and highly resourceful location, so this is somewhere that quite ambitious survivors should aim to hold on to from the beginning of the game.
