We invite you to discover How To Get A Water Filter in 7 Days To Die, a new task in this interesting and fast-paced game.
Veterans of 7 Days to Die will soon realize that there's a different way water is collected. Gone are the days of gathering an arsenal of empty jars. While this change may at first seem devastating, amassing large quantities of water is still surprisingly easy.
Now players must craft Dew Collectors and place them in exposed areas to slowly collect water. While the collected water will have to be purified by boiling it over a campfire, this can be expedited greatly through proper use of a Water Filter. This adds a whole new depth to the survive-and-manage dynamic.
How to Get a Water Filter in 7 Days to Die?
There are two major ways through which players can get Water Filters in 7 Days to Die. The easiest is just buying the filter from the game's trader. As mentioned earlier, the filter is quite useful, especially during the early game stages, so most of the time, it will be sold for more than 7000 Dukes. That price can always be lowered though, either by taking the Better Barter perk or with items that lower the prices when buying from the trader.
Another way to obtain a Water Filter would be through the trader, as a reward for completing missions. There could be a chance that, in return for doing missions for him, he will grant the player a water filter. If the filter one wants isn't given, he still rewards Dukes, which can be saved for later purchases.
Notably, unlike in previous versions, this is no longer requiring a Water Filter to be crafted into a Dew Collector. This does not stop here. A Water Filter can be installed as a mod to the Dew Collector that allows for clean water, instead of the normal dirty water, to be produced through the device.
Resources will need to be gathered in order to craft a Dew Collector. To craft this collector, players will have to scavenge two Forge Ahead Magazines; these seem to be highly available parts of the overall in-game world. Then, to fill out the structure of this collector, 100 Scrap Polymers are needed; these are the by-product of breaking down things like tires and/or shopping carts. To make a frame for the Dew Collector, players need 4 Short Iron Pipes. These are salvaged from vehicles using a wrench or found in containers that are found within the game world. Finally, 4 Duct Tape will be needed for fastening the collector's components. You can craft Duct Tape from glue and cloth or get it as loot. If somehow you find that there are not enough materials to scavenge, then the trader may have some in stock to sell.
We can conclude that knowing How To Get A Water Filter in 7 Days To Die is easier than you think, you just have to follow the instructions to get the most out of this element of the game.
