Dune: Awakening - Eighth Trial of Aql Location

The Eighth Trial of Aql is hidden within a point of interest (POI) called Sietch Ta'lab.

• Geographic Location: Sietch Ta'lab is found along the border of the Eastern Shield Wall and Mysa Tarill.
• Finding the Entrance: Look for a blue symbol along a cliff wall in this area. This symbol marks the hidden entrance to the Sietch.
• Preparation: As there will be fighting inside, ensure you bring a Shield and that all your gear is fully repaired before entering.

Entering Sietch Ta'lab (First Puzzle)

Upon entering through a crack in the cliff, you'll find yourself in a large hall with a locked door.

• The Quiz: Interacting with the door will initiate a quiz about the Fremen's journey from planet to planet. You must answer correctly to proceed.
• Correct Planet Sequence:
• Nilotic al-Ourouba
• Poritrin
• Salusa Secundus
• Bela Teguese
• Rossak
• Thurgrod
• Harmonthep
• Meeting Ari: Onceyou provide the correct sequence, the door will unlock, and you'll begreeted by Ari, a scholar also studying the Fremen. You'll partner upwith her to proceed through the Sietch.

Exploring the Sietch (Maze Navigation)

From this point, you're free to explore, but to reach the next section, you'll need to navigate a small maze.

• Clearing Paths: Use your Cutteray to destroy boulders that are blocking paths within the maze.
• Finding the Exit: Continue breaking boulders and navigating until you reach a door thatleads to some stairs. This exit will lead you to the next puzzle room.
• Hydration Tip: If you find yourself thirsty during the exploration, look for water containers within the Sietch to refill your Literjon.

The Hologram Puzzle

In the next room, you'll encounter a Solido Projection of a scholar and numerous symbols displayed on the walls.

• Objective: The goal is to switch the symbols on top of the door according to the lessons being explained by the scholar's hologram.
• Identifying Symbols: Approach the glowing symbols on the walls to see what each symbol represents and match them to the scholar's teachings.
• Correct Symbol Sequences: The correct sequences are:
• Bind - Dune - Grass
• Planting - Shelter - Downwind
• Animal - Aerate - Sand

The Floor Puzzle

The subsequent puzzle involves manipulating three discs embedded in the floor.

• Objective: You need to rotate the three discs to create a specific pattern. (Refer to in-game visuals for the exact pattern, but the goal is to align them correctly).
• Activation: Once the discs are correctly aligned, interact with the nearby device to unlock the way forward.
• Progression: After the puzzle is solved, make your way through the newly opened door. A cutscene will play, after which you'll need to interact with a console to the left of the room from the entrance. This interaction will open a new door, leading you to the final part of the trial.

Combat Segment and Rewards

The final stage of the Eighth Trial of Aql involves a combat encounter followed by your rewards.

• Combat Encounter: After dropping down from the previous room, you will be immediately attacked by Worm Cultists. Engage them with everything you have and eliminate all enemies.
• Exiting the Sietch: Once all the enemies are defeated, you can exit the Sietch. Head to the stairway opposite the caved-in exit to find your way back to the surface.

Rewards for Completing the Eighth Trial of Aql:

Upon reaching the surface, you will receive two significant rewards:

Ari's Pistol: This is a Unique Maula Pistol variant. Its special property is that it becomes more accurate once you achieve the Prescient state, which you would have unlocked via the Fourth Trial of Aql.

Fremen Deathstills Crafting Unlock: You will now be able to craft Fremen Deathstills. This is a powerful new water extractor that can fully extract all blood from corpses to provide you with a substantial amount of water. Once activated, it continues to provide water over the course of one real-life hour, making it an incredibly efficient way to manage your hydration in Arrakis.
