Irradiated Slag is a valuable and rare crafting material in Dune: Awakening, essential for building advanced gear such as the Power Pack Mk5 or Young Sparky Mk5.1 Its scarcity is due to its exclusive presence in dangerous, highly radioactive areas.

How to Get Irradiated Slag in Dune: Awakening

Irradiated Slag is primarily found in Sheol, specifically within wrecked ships scattered across this highly radioactive southwestern portion of the Hagga Basin.1. Exploring the Wreck of the Ourea:The Wreck of the Ourea, located in Sheol, is a prime spot for finding Irradiated Slag.

• Radiation Protection: Before heading to Sheol, ensure you have adequate radiation protection. A Radiation Suit Mk5 is highly recommended, as the area is lethally contaminated without proper gear. Even a Radiation Suit Mk4 will only offer increased resistance, not immunity, so combining it with Iodine Pills (crafted from Agave Seeds, Water, and a Duraluminum Ingot) is crucial to extend your time in Sheol. The Radiation Suit Mk5 can be crafted at a Wearables Fabricator with 50 Duraluminum Ingot, 50 Silicone Block, 10 Sandtrout Leathers, and 675mL Water.
  
• Entering the Wreck: Approach the Wreck of the Ourea from its southern side. Look for a large hole in the hull to enter.
• Locating the Slag: Once inside, turn left and search for a container tucked away in the corner. This is where you'll find the Irradiated Slag.
• Additional Loot: While inside, explore the right side of the wreck as well, as there are usually more containers holding other useful materials.

Beyond the Wreck of the Ourea, other shipwrecks in Sheol (such as the Wreck of the Delphis, Wreck of the Europia, Wreck of the Leto, Wreck of the Limos, and Wreck of the Tartarus) also contain chests with Irradiated Slag. The Wreck of the Delphis is notable as the largest wreck, located in the middle of Sheol.
2. Buying from The Exchange (Player-Run Auction House):

You can acquire Irradiated Slag by purchasing it from The Exchange, Dune: Awakening's player-run auction house.

• Access: The Exchange is accessible in social hubs like Arrakeen or Harko Village.
• Availability & Price: Both the price and availability of Irradiated Slag on The Exchange will vary significantly depending on the specific server you're playing on,as it's entirely driven by player supply and demand. Playing on a server with a higher player population increases your chances of finding theitem available.

3. Trading Directly with Other Players:

Another option is to trade directly with other players on your server, including friends or guildmates.

• Meeting Point: For safe and convenient trades, it's best to arrange meetings in social hubs like Arrakeen or Harko Village.
• Communication: Utilize the in-game chat to ask around and see if anyone is willing to trade their Irradiated Slag.

Irradiated Slag is a looted component primarily used in high-tier crafting. It is found in the Radiated Core areas of Sheol and is a crucial material for constructing advanced equipment.

  • Requires: Duraluminum Ingot x12, Particle Capacitor x11, Cobalt Paste x12, Irradiated Slag x12, 260mL Water.
• Young Sparky Mk5:
  • Crafted at a Survival Fabricator.
  • Requires: Duraluminum Ingot x14, Particle Capacitor x13, Cobalt Paste x14, Irradiated Slag x14, Spice-infused Duraluminum Dust x37, 250mL Water.
    
    

As you progress to craft higher-tier gear, ensuring a steady supply of Irradiated Slag will become increasingly important.
