How to Get Carbide Scraps in Dune Awakening

Carbide Scraps are a vital crafting component in Dune: Awakening, essential for many high-level recipes, including the highly sought-after Scout Ornithopter. Unlike other widely distributed resources, Carbide Scraps are found in fixed locations, requiring players to know precisely where to look.

Dune Awakening: How to Get Carbide Scraps

Carbide Scraps are primarily obtained from two specific dungeon-like locations on the map:

Mysa Tarill: Located northwest of the Western Vermillius Gap, adjacent to the Crossroads Tradepost. This large dungeon also serves as a gateway to the Shaol region.

Hand of Kidhr: A substantial dungeon situated in Jabal Eifrit Al-janub, north of the Eastern Vermillion Gap. Exercise caution when approaching this area, as it is known for dangerous quicksand.

Both Mysa Tarill and Hand of Kidhr are also excellent spots to farm Diamondine Dust, another valuable crafting material used in high-tier recipes.

All Carbide Scraps Locations in Mysa Tarill (Farming Method)

While Carbide Scraps can be found in Hand of Kidhr, their spawn points aresparse and spread out, making farming less efficient. Mysa Tarill is the preferred location for farming due to its more concentrated andaccessible Carbide Scraps spawn locations. There are 13 known CarbideScraps spots in Mysa Tarill:

Spawn Location	Details
Dead Body #1	At the entrance of Mysa Tarill, near two broken towers. On the left broken tower, climb on top and look for a red glow near the far end of thewall.
Chest #1	On the right broken tower, opposite Dead Body #1, near some guards.
Chest #2	In the main arena, in front of the red hologram, turn right and then right again. There will be a chest next to a concrete wall.
Chest #3+4	Two chests are located directly underneath the large red hologram in the center of the main arena, alongside a Blue ID Band.
Chest #5	Past the red hologram, there is an altar with red candles. Turn left, and you'll find a chest protected by two guards.
Chest #6	From the red candles altar, turn right, and another chest will be half-buried in the sand.
Chest #7	Past the red hologram and the red altar is a staircase leading down to ashield door. Before heading inside, look upward. This chest is on theleft battlement of the two battlements flanking a tall tower.
Chest #8	This chest is on the right battlement, opposite Chest #7.
Dead Body #2	At the very top of the tower between the two battlements is a dead body.This body contains the Poison Mist Sword Unique Schematic, othervaluables, and Carbide Scraps.
Chest #9+10+11	Use the Blue ID Band to access the pentashield inner sanctum of MysaTarill. Defeat the enemies and obtain the next ID Band from behind thedoor on the left. Then, use it to access the shield room on the right.There are three chests with Carbide Scraps here, along with UniqueSchematics and Spice-Infused Aluminum Dust.

How to Buy Carbide Scraps in Dune: Awakening

For players who prefer to purchase resources or need a quick top-up, there are three vendors in Dune: Awakening that sell Carbide Scraps:

• Restock: Vendor inventories restock every 24 hours (server-wide fixed timer), allowing you to purchase a maximum of 45 Carbide Scraps per day if you buy from all three vendors.
• Cost: Buying out all vendors will cost 157,500 Solaris, not including any fast travel fees if you use Taxi NPCs.

Note: Unlike resource respawn timers in the world, vendor restock times are independent of player actions.

Carbide Scraps are used in crafting various advanced items, particularly vehicle parts like the Scout Ornithopter Chassis, which requires 7 Carbide Scraps, and certain high-tier bladed weapons.
