Attempting to solve the candle puzzle in Act 2 of DreadOut, there are a series of steps for completion, and these will be exactly what is covered with this guide.
In order to complete the Act 2 candle puzzle in DreadOut, players must use the SLR camera. Survival horror players may find the way to switch between using the SLR and Linda's phone through the inventory menu, then equipment tab, and finally the SLR camera description.
How to Solve Act 2 Candle Puzzle in DreadOut?
Solve this candle puzzle in DreadOut by lighting the three blue candles behind the dancing woman, then take a picture of them. This is a multi-part process that requires players to take the following steps:
Light Candle #1.
To the left side of the grotto is a hole in the fence that players will need to cross through in order to light the first candle. On the other side of the gate is a small cove, and fans of independent horror games should go there now and stand on the other side of the barrier. Looking around now, players can see a snake on top of a rock, a humanoid leaning against the fence with its arms crossed, and a pair of wings sticking out of it.
The second aim will be to take a picture of the snake as though it's wrapping itself around the subject, and its two wings are spread out from it. A player should get the angle similar to the above; if a shot's appropriate, they will see an enlarged picture of it on screen.
Now it is time for the gamers to shift their attention to the small statue on their right side; a candle lit will be close to it. If you love those horror video games that have a strong female as the main protagonist, extinguish that candle and light your first of the puzzle by taking a photo from your SLR camera.
Second Candle Lighted
By now, players must head to the right side of the grotto. In here, fans can find a narrow path that leads to yet another alcove; along the path, near a tree, there's a pile of rocks. The player can use the interact input to pull the Keris that's stuck in the rocks.
With the Keris moved, players can approach the statue next to it and pick up the SLR camera. From here, players of Fatal Frame and other similar titles will want to take a snapshot of the candle in front of the statue once it becomes lit. Doing so will extinguish the candle, while lighting another within the puzzle.
Light Candle #3.
Now, players, proceed to the very back right of the grotto. The path is impassable by a black cat and some green ferns, which fans will recognize are present here. Standing next to the ferns and using the light from the SLR camera will destroy them.
Players should not click the flash input while Linda is looking through the viewfinder of the SLR to take a picture, but while she is holding the camera. To find the SLR camera in inventory, go to the equipment tab and read the description to learn how to use the flash input.
Players should continue down the path until they come to a clearing, cordoned off by a circle of felled trees, from which the ferns have been removed. In the nook behind those trees, a candle is lit. Supporters should take out their SLR cameras and use the camera's zoom feature on the candle, taking a picture of it. This will extinguish it, and light the third candle in the puzzle.

Photograph the Three Candle Conundrum.
With the grotto now supposedly dark, it would be time to return to the three-candle problem. Using the flash on the SLR, they should have a bit more light for their path. With all three candles lit and in their place, fans should grab their SLRs and take a shot of the candles. Taking that picture should douse the three candles and reveal the path behind them. Players should take another shot, with the angle equal to the one displayed in the picture above if that passage hasn't opened up.
